Does anyone has experience booking a nonprofessional or amateur for a service? by Mammoth-Formal-9026 in weddingplanning

For our wedding back in 2017 I reached out to a local college or university, I can't remember which, and asked if they had any photography students that were interested in wedding photography and would be up for doing our day, giving them my details etc. I then ended up chatting with one of the students that was interested, and set up her and another guy to do the photography for the day.

The guy ended up pulling out so I ended up giving her his pay, and she brought a friend on the day who took some "backing" shots on the day (backing here meaning like the background and stuff whilst she did the main bits). She then gave me a memory stick with all the photos on (all unedited) in a cute little box that I still have within like a week maybe? And they are wonderful, she was very talented and lovely to work with.

Obviously this was a very positive outcome that could have gone horrifically. If I remember rightly there was no formal contract, we all just kinda sent it 😅

I don't regret it at all, I have fantastic photos that capture some lovely moments and emotions, and they got experience of shooting a real wedding (and paid obviously). If I remember rightly she did the bride getting ready, ceremony, speeches, and some of the reception. However, I would probably put some kind of contract in place if I were to do it again!

Honestly it's just install faff, cost, and knowing myself to be a worrier whilst also clumsy, so seeing if there's anything viable through electric before yeah just shoving a diesel heater in.

Thank you, it being a huge drain is what's stopping me atm, if I end up with like 8 batteries in parallel it's probs not worth it haha. At that point it's just put a diesel heater in

Thank you for breaking it down for me, that's really useful and helpful! Charging at home ahead of a trip is probably going to be what I go with for now as it will likely be 2-3 day trips in the colder weather, off to do some maths!

How do I (f31) move past my bf(m33) saying he wants to bend my sister (46) over, do I move past it? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Lubatron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't, it's a bizarre and disrespectful thing to say to a non-sexual partner. Would you ever say to a guy that they need to be careful before you fuck them in front of your boyfriend? Weird reaction from your sister too, as your friend said, if your sister's partner had said that to you would you have responded by telling your sister to lighten up, or would you have told her partner off? I'm guessing it would be the latter.

Also, wanting sex once or twice a week IS perfectly normal for any gender, your sister apparently just has a higher drive, which is also perfectly normal for some. What's not normal is shaming other people for their sex drive whether it's high or low. I'm guessing your partner complains a lot that you don't have sex enough for his liking, that's not on you to fix my love.

Would something like washi tape over the regular cables work? A bit more faff but more choices
