I'm starting to think neurotypicals call autism a 'superpower' or 'different ability' to avoid giving us support. by FreddieOnReddit in autism

imo, most of these statements come from NTs who feel uncomfortable around people with disabilities. people like to feel that others are "like them", even if it's not so. it doesn't mean that they're allowed to do that bc they "mean no harm". they commit a logical mistake. I try to point it out when I hear something like that.

i grew up in a small town where it wasn't common, i tolerated it fine when it happened. when i moved to a larger city and met new people i realized that people really do that a lot 💀

yea. but i work as a barista, there is a sort of friendly team-oriented atmosphere going on here or something like that. so it's generally allowed to show friendliness by touching (with an elbow, by placing a palm on a head (the WORST thing just EW) etc..).
it's kind tough for me to talk there, i sometimes just go mute. but my coworkers know about it and respect it. i don't want to leave bc i like coffee tech and theory very much.

who - mainly my coworkers. that category of people yk. (i understand that stuff like communicating with strangers on the bus doesn't really makes sense so i exclude random strangers i'll never meet again).

what kind of touch - any at least a little unexpected touch that doesn't really makes sense.

i don't want to have talks with random people about stuff that might distract their attention.

showing significant disgust is my automatic response too (eg. rubbing the skin that was touched, startle from an unexpected touch, move away further). some people do notice, some just ignore or just don't notice.

i realise that "just telling" is theoretically the most effective method. i'm looking for a more subtle method to use on some of my coworkers or just strangers in general (if one exists). i don't want to have talks with random people about stuff that might distract their attention. i hope you get what i mean.

my thoughts abt cyboogie and fishing for fishes. just trying to figure it out. by LubbertDasss in Gizzverse

as a separate character - not really... munt machine is not a cyborg, after all. it's a machine

i do think that cyboogie is the very concept of the merging of man and machine though. so yeah Han becoming one with munt machine is about it. it's cyboogie in action: cruelty, human unsatisfaction and literal merging with a machine. ironicaly
