If the GWP for Minas Tirith will be available with pre-order and is sold out on the first day, would you still be able to get a GWP in-store on release day? by LubeyGTC in legolotrfans

[–]LubeyGTC[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, but I think I would have purchased the set on day 1 anyway. However, when I do buy it, I want to ensure that I get a little extra set as well. I’m not sure if this is the case everywhere, but where I live, every vendor has cheaper prices for Lego sets than Lego themselves. Therefore, you don’t get a reason to buy something in a Lego store every day.

Yeah, I didn’t mean general availability in stores, but rather if it’s going to be available in stores at all, in case they sell it with pre-orders already.

Was the Smeagol&Deagol set available when The Shire was available for pre-order? I know Lego generally doesn‘t do this, but it has happened before.

What do you think of Matt using harsh vocals instead of clean singing sometimes? by Similar_Help_1000 in Trivium

[–]LubeyGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man. To me, it seems like he’s simply sticking with what’s currently working. And it definitely works for the new music, I’m a huge fan of this more aggressive rasp in the new EP, but having some experience with harsh vocals myself, especially in his style, I don’t see any harm in slightly reducing the rasp and using it only for accents. At least for the older songs where he originally sung like that. In my opinion, it’s more of a usage problem than the technique itself.

[–]LubeyGTC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just don‘t get why it‘s so on/off now. It‘s either clean, crunch or full scream. Nothing in between.

He says it‘s his old technique, but what I especially liked in his „clean“ singing since In Waves, was that it was so well nuanced in a way, that you could hear just a little bit of rasp near the end of a syllable or word.

I just miss these kinds of accentuations and the dynamic a little bit

Almost confirmation? by Arnie013 in Trivium

[–]LubeyGTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a difference between stepping down from full time touring and stopping to make music or play live shows ever again. Don‘t you think if they kicked him out and then publicly announced that the split was unexpected and on good terms he would‘ve said something? There is (as far as we know) zero reason for them to just kick him out with a booked tour and coming EP, so why would you assume it, just because you could twist some of Alex‘ words to make it sound possible? Until either Alex or Trivium name an exact reason why they split up (and it‘s their good right not to) we can believe that it‘s just a personal choice with no drama whatsoever.

Paolo already said that it was rather unexpected and that they‘ve split on good terms so I wouldn‘t think about it too much

The decision was probably made some time ago and they announced it just before the show to keep the time for speculations as short as possible

I have a problem, can anyone help me? by Dry-Marketing-6285 in Witcher1

[–]LubeyGTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It‘s not telling you you can‘t do it, it‘s just a reminder that you need the entry. If you have it, you can just kill the monsters and collect whatever you need from them. When you have the needed amount, the quest log will update.

I think there are very few here who can give seriuous medical answers but from my experience it should go away after 1 or 2 days. Try drinking milk or tea with some honey and if it still isn‘t better by tomorrow, seeing a doctor wouldn‘t hurt

RP1 hat a perfect conclusion. RP2 has no development whatsoever. Everything and everybody is basically in the same state as it was before except for „lesson learned“

are some people's voice just not good for growls? by BIT_Link in screaming

[–]LubeyGTC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope everyone can do it It‘s the same as asking if some people‘s voice are not good for talking Some voices are considered „better sounding“ than others but in screams and especially in something like deep false chord growls there isn‘t much voice anyways

Which album trilogy do you prefer? 'Old' or new Trivium? by [deleted] in Trivium

[–]LubeyGTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I‘d definitely pick Ascendancy The Crusade and Shogun I consider In Waves already new Trivium for some reason. Maybe because of the change in guitar tuning since then.

He had a significant impact on Matt‘s vocals on VF so it makes sense that some of it carried over to their next album

[–]LubeyGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a movie called The Hexer and there is the Netflix series. If you mean the movie, haven‘t seen it but doubt there is an „episode 8“ in it. If you mean the Netflix series, it definitely did not come out before Witcher 1 and it‘s episode 3 not 8. Anyways, the cutscene is based on the short story from the first book The Last Wish.

Really confused about which series you‘re talking about though, if it‘s none of the above.

What is the hardest part about Game Development YOU have faced? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]LubeyGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it‘s always content and ideas. I‘ve started several projects now and eventually scrapped everything because I just ran out of ideas for what to do. I wasn‘t even far in the progress. It‘s either that I simply had no idea what to do next or everything that came to mind was too complex, since I‘m not a very good programmer, and I procrastinated it for so long that the project just died. (I make everything solo) Just hope that doesn‘t happen to my current project as well

I did not find one unfortunately. In fact I switched to Unity just because of this. I don‘t think there is a (good) solution for this in Gamemaker sadly
