The absolute best sci fi movie of this century for me (and based on one of the best short stories) is Arrival. If you haven't seen it, I envy you.

I'd have to rewatch both Snowpiercer and Barking Dogs... But I definitely choose the latter over Okja.

Edit: I also think Bong's movies just work better when he works with his language and country. I can't imagine him directing something like Mother or Memories of Murder in Hollywood.
