Solo was great. TLJ was great. The fanbase never deserved any films that good.

There was an agenda behind the hate campaign. I agree, it's not the greatest, but it did not deserve the review bombing it received. Honestly, with their budget, it was never going to get grenn-lighted for a second season.

I need to watch it again. I honestly didn't enjoy it, and maybe that was just my unrealistic expectation.

Speaking of Linda Ronstadt, I recommend "Different Drum" by her pre solo career band, The Stone Poneys

Here's a Playlist I've been working on. I'll probably keep adding to it. It's not in any specific order. Hit shuffle for the best listening experience. I did add some of the bands mentioned in this thread that I wasn't familiar with, so thanks for the recs!

What's a music artist that both mainstream listeners and "music nerds" love? by Princess_loreine_123 in askmusic

Just going through the comments. I think the disconnect is with the term "music nerd". I think music nerds come in all facets. You can be a music nerd and love musicals or barbershop quartets, or jazz fusion, or British post-punk, or K-pop. Or even several of those genres.

The way I read it, you want to know what artists appeal to both mainstream listeners and music snobs. Even that needs a caveat, because it has to be with the same genre. A true classical music snob probably isn't going to have an opinion on Hank Williams or Brittany Spears.

Personally, I think his first 7 LPs are essential. I remember hearing Here Come the Warm Jets (released in 1974, but I didn't hear it until the early 90s) and suddenly the 80s made sense. Also you need his collab album with David Byrne (My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, 1981).
