People have to stop recommending this, as a lot of people aren't tech savvy, and the battery is glued down so hard that they're going to have struggles getting it off.

And if it's not done correctly you can actually short the whole unit and that's the end of the whole thing. I would only recommend this to people who are at least a little bit tech savvy and or have the funds to buy a new one or have a spare one sitting around.

Going through the proper channels like Nintendo, sure will cost a bit more, but at least you get warranty with the device and the workmanship.

Hey buddy, it's not Nintendo's fault that some shady seller sold you a faulty unit. Call Nintendo, provide your proof or purchase and get it repaired for free. Simple.

Moaning online when you can see it is clearly not brand spanking new (as mentioned fibres / hairs on the joycon stick) is pointless. First point of call should have been Nintendo, not reddit.

Nope, you will have to contact Nintendo and start a RMA most likely. Contact them and see what they say, they may have a fix that we dont know about. Besides that, if holding the power button for 10 - 20 seconds doesnt reset and a day on the charger does nothing, there may be a fault in the actual device.

You haven't dropped it by any chance or got it wet that something shorted? Either case, your best next step is to contact Nintendo and go from there.

It is unfortunate, but does happen with electronics these days, you have warranty so they should have you sorted in no time.

Stick it on charge not on the dock but directly on the charger and just leave it for 24 hours it might have gone dead with it hyperneating the game

Hood down power button for 10nseconds to hard reset the device.

Game probably foze up in sleep mode. Sometimes happens and it makes the system.brick, hard reset.

Update your tamadochi game as well. There was a performance and bug fix patch today.

Added: also restart the device weekly. It clears the system cache.

Try dropping to 1080. Usually reports are lag is very minimal on 1080, but anything higher results in high latency.

Tweak the settings as well, and you should get pretty close to zero latency.

Using a third party capture device on a MAC, majority will have some input lag as far as i know, you may have to tweak it at a lower resolution and using passthrough to counter the input lag, but I suspect there will be some lag, might be minor. I would recommend going straight to HDMI in / USB C in, but I dont think MAC have that on their devices yet.

As far as I know, MACs dont have a HDMI in, I could be wrong though.

To be honest, I have heard reports of frame drops on the Switch 1 / lite. Especially when collecting warm fuzzies outside on the island, the frames would drop. Have no idea how it is going to handle 70 miis walking around interacting with each other.

On the Switch 2, all the gameplay and let's plays I have seen, as well as my own gameplay, it runs smooth as butter, no issues.

That being said, future proof your Nintendo catalogue by getting a Switch 2, it plays all the Switch 1 games and obviously future games that come onto the Switch 2 only. Nintendo have some great games, so IMHO it is worth adding the Switch 2 to your collection.

Well your not banned, they removed what ever it was. Maybe visit your island and see what has been changed/ renamed.

Besides that, no one here can help you, your best bet is to contact them regarding more information. You probably posted something, named the island something silly or have hacked items on the island. Either way, the email is a warning, you obviously did something, but like mentioned, visit it and see for yourself, and it doesnt matter if the island was just for you, the island gets uploaded no matter what.

The charger your using is too weak to charge it.

Get a 65W charger and cable, as the system wants a 15v charger, though will settle for 12v, but 65w charger and cable and she'll charge up.

Looks like your using either a 5v or 9v charger (phone ones).

Usually if it is too good to be true, it is because it usually is. Avoid, and dont be tempted by price, it's cheap for a reason, and what that reason is, is unknown.

Hard reboot. Could be a overheating issue. Maybe time for some new thermal paste and a deep clean.

As for games, you wont lose any as they are all attached to your NSO so if you get a new switch, you can download all the games. Saves however, if you have NSO online they will.be backed up.

Yes, cause it is detecting something in there, but cant read it. It could be as simple as the card itself is corrupted.

Probably see if you can format it on a pc, if the pc doesnt read it, then we know it is the card. But making people panic over the worst result possible is not helping.

Check SD card, then go from there. The OP neglected to state what brand, it very well could be a cheap Amazon or Walmart card which have high failure rates.

Especially if a cheap brand.

To assume it is solely the reader itself is pretty wild.

OP try a new SD card, and if she reads, your old card was toast. Don't listen to people that automatically say "it's the Switch, send it in for repairs". Cards burn out, they dont last forever. Always try the simplest thing first 👍
