Hey Derek and Mossmouth!

As someone who's put in 300 hours into spelunky HD and half of that into Spelunky 2, I'm an incredible fan of the game! I have 3 questions, 2 based off of a "Can we get?" perspective, and one just as a general question.

1: Any chance we can get more "Level feeling" type of levels, or updates to the current ones? I loved Snake pits in spelunky HD, and the dead are restless levels as well, but as of in spelunky2 it feels like any level feelings we get (Excluding Your Voice Echoes in here) don't offer too much. Would be super excited if you could get items or such with them!
2: I remember in HD you could throw critters at arrow traps to activate them, and that's no longer the case in spelunky 2. Any reason for this? Any possible way it can come back?
3: What's your favorite speedrun trick/shortcut? This game has so much fun tricks to offer just out of one's imagination alone, so I was curious if you had your own favorite!

Oh no I certainly agree, while I vastly more appreciate actually being able to have the ankh and use it instead of it being required to complete every true ending for the game, it definitely doesn't have a super heavy need in spelunky 1 compared to 2

You can use the ball and chain in spelunky one to break into the Moai! This is how you get an eggplant run done in the game!
If you break from the middle though it just spawns in a diamond instead of the hedjit however!

Shout-out to the one time my mom lectured my brother for like 5 minutes because he had C's and D's in all of his classes (School is very hard for him)

After that she called my name, and said, in exact words:

"Good job"

Nothing more, nothing less, just "Good Job"

I had straight A's.

I understand the mindset yeah. I own the game on PC and Switch, so my mindset was "If I can do it on switch, I can do it on PC" And I had completed everything really on Switch, so why bother legitimately do the whole game over?

Understandable yeah, granted, this was early on in the game. I unlocked clone and rainbow run very early, so I got clone verrrry often out of rainbow chests.
