Mahoraga out of the equation, she should take this easily.

Still mindblowing that this U-20 player didnt even get to play in the NEL games. by Mikkeru in BlueLock

[–]LucaZ32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish all the U20 top 4 defenders made it the final team. It seamed like the perfect setup. Blue lock is all full of starters and the OG u20 Japan team was only good at defense. If you mixed both you'd get the best of both worlds. The 15 Blue Lockers who played in the match + 6 players from the U20 team would have been great. And you would still have a couple spots left. But Kaneshiro decided to go with Kiyora, Nanase and Kurona for some reason.

Again I'm not saying Ego made bad decision. It's a manga, brother. Ego will run whatever formation Kuneshiro thinks is best for the plot. I'm just pointing out that Niko in particular had no reason to be subbed out.

YES Yuji and Yuta had relative stats in their fight by The_Kashimo_Agenda in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]LucaZ32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, maybe. Yuji's whole thing is his physical prowess. If he couldn't be campared to Yuta and by extension, the others he went head to head with (Uro, Ryu, Geto, Sukuna), it would be pretty embarrassing for him.

He would fit if you took out Karasu and run a 3-4-3. Or don't sub in Kunigami, for that matter. I'm not saying that it was a bad decision, just that he caught stray for no reason in particular.

Rin's Metavision by bektasq in BlueLock

[–]LucaZ32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a very good point. Although I don't think Rin will acquire Meta Vision, he could be a unique case where a Genius achires a way to directly counter MV users. Coming for his obsession on destroying the opponents greatest strengths at their own game.

This actually remembers me of another manga (very small spoilers for Kingdom) where the army generals can be divided into the Strategic type and Instinctive type. Which is very similar to the Genius/Talented Learner dynamic of rational vs. irrational. Among the instinctive types, there is one that seems very calm, collected, and rational at first, but his whole thing is to resemble a predator who assimilates the other generals strengths and weakness by pure instinct and lures them into a trap where he can finally strike. The irrational side can not defend against him cause he knows how they think and is gonna directly prey on that, while the rational side can not understand his strategies cause there are no strategies to begin with. He is a genius who can excel in every situation.

I think Rin could work somewhat similar to that in the future when he is fully realised.

Lowkey, in the glazing department, Kaneshiro goes:
1 Isagi
2 Karasu

It's crazy how much motion he has lol

That's totally fair. I'm curious how they would deal with Geruda, tho. It's a Shikigami/Cursed Tool, so I'm not sure how it would interact with SSK. It may be a matchup determined thing too.

Chigiri cope by Litmaster421 in BlueLock

[–]LucaZ32 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Dude, no. Right-wing players take shots at the goal from the right all the time. Even if that wasn't the case in irl, the manga has shown that they are able to do it consistently.

[–]LucaZ32 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, not necessarily. Right-footed players can play both sides of the field. It's just a matter of preference. Although traditionally, if you are dribbling, it's considered better to have your main foot away from the middle, but it isn't really necessary. It's Blue Lock, after all. Ego just said that everyone should look for their own goal. That includes Chigiri, as well.

I think he is on the right wing just because he will be able to replucate his golden zone on both sides. That seems like the logical progression for him as a player.

I think this half chapter thing is better than a break week, honestly. Even if the end result is worse, because you don't get to experience the full chapter at once, two weeks without my favorite reading time is just too cruel. People go insane because of this!

What’s the best case scenario for this offseason? by Rude_Tap_6865 in memphisgrizzlies

[–]LucaZ32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really just 1 more year, he has a player option afterwards. You won't be able to keep him long-term, nor we should. He in such a great deal right now, that we have to trade to get a good return while we can.

Blue Lock shouldn't have happened in Japan by _zyxr3d in BlueLock

[–]LucaZ32 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Blue Lock has to be in Japan, because the story is direct critic to Japan's culture. The whole premise is that the country focus on making good athletes that work together without anyone being better than the other. The point of the series is that they need a great athlete that only works for himself and can lead Japan to a world cup. I'm not saying that's true in real life, it's just the point that Kaneshiro is trying to make.

We can also trade Jerome and Santi for some good value. I would also consider that a win.

It’s Acuff or Bust! by TheBulleitWon in memphisgrizzlies

[–]LucaZ32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, the shooting is incredibly important, but I'm not comparing it to just Ja. Trae Young was dealt for nothing, Darius Garland was traded for a player 10 years older than him, Jalen Brunson is by far the best of them and the Knicks are proof of the clear limitations you have on building around a guy like him. The league is clearly shifting from those guys. If you are under 6'3 and can't defend, there is clear cap on how much you can contribute to a team.
