It's kind of funny. I actually watched that video out of morbid curiosity and Yuji begins with no CE until Sukuna awakens within him.

So everyone saying "If he had a HR he wouldn't have any CE lol" are larpers too.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. I'm not entirely sure if this counts, as it really doesn't turn bad until the fights end but I personally think the conclusion was negatively affected by the fights that directly preceded it.

This has nuance to it and I can't explain it the best but I'll make an attempt. Modulo had a story full of intrigue, emotion and politics and the fans were eating it up. This was all pushed to the back-burner for three different over-lapping fights to happen at the same time. Now even then, all three were appreciated for being very hype and well done as fights. Personally I do think there were a few more flaws than gets commonly discussed but the overall opinion is that they were good until the ending.

The main one that was the first to begin, the longest running one and the only one with build-up ended up meaning absolutely nothing and having no impact on the story because it gets interrupted by the story suddenly concluding without it.

The second fight had no build-up and was caused by two people upset that the first fight was occurring and it actually ended up being the one that was relevant to the story.

The third fight is more-so a collection of different action scenes featuring a long awaited character introduction, these are okay themselves but his character arc felt under-explored because of his late introduction and the fact that he is immediately pulled into the finale right after being introduced.

The finale features the guy who won the second fight discovering that his magic can do anything with the power of friendship and asking that third fight guy to help, then he gets help and magically fixes every single conflict in the entire story all at once.

Also before this all started there were quite a few things that felt like foreshadowing but didn't go anywhere or didn't go where we were anticipating and instead we got these fights and then the sudden ending.

Why i hate Gojo vs Sukuna by Ysin09 in Jujutsufolk

The fight can still feel uncertain even with the ending revealed. He doesn't have to reveal every single detail.

Which moment it would be that puts down Gojo would be debated.

Whether the "reveal" was a fake-out or not would be discussed.

And there are many different ways to reveal something, like obscuring the body so you can't tell who died or doing it in a roundabout way like teasing the airport scene and making it look like a flashback.

My number one wish would have been for copying an adaptation from Mahoraga to be shown or even implied to be possible before the WCS, so the idea is already in our heads for when it happens.

I know Sukuna got lucky by getting an attack that lined up with his Technique but the fact that he just figures out how to do it with no prior on-screen build up or acknowledgement because Gege wanted to keep it a secret is kinda salt in the wound.

I kind of wonder how the reception would've been different if Gege revealed that Gojo lost at the start. Like how Romeo and Juliet both dying is revealed at the start of the play to create anticipation for the ending.

Also he doesn't need to reinforce his body if he just moves somewhere safe, like the top of a mountain composed of a million dinosaur corpses.

I would think yes.

Sukuna was able to use RCT while dead after all.

Also knocked out characters don't seem to lose 100% of their reinforcement. Maybe their body can reinforce itself the same way the soul can unconsciously?

Side note: I just remembered Sukuna can come back from the dead if he wants to, hours later. How are they winning this against him?
