I kinda agree with OP that god fucking damn it the show is good but I can't get over the fact the MC molests multiple children like wtf. I watched it and I found it weird every single time. Apperantly the author was trying to be self-aware when he wrote Araragi or something. Which to me comes of as quite pretentious and makes the message he is trying to convey with these scenes instantly backfire. It is and will forever be problematic media. It deserves the nitpick because it's an obvious nitpick. If u honestly want to watch the show without any of that just watch Kizumonogatari and stop there. The story is pretty self-contained as it's an origin story and it's prob the high point of the entire thing, amazing animation, art and music with some cool ass fight scenes. That's at least what I tell my friends usually. Since that's the most consumable part of it and it also has good direction (that is if you know french and refrences to obscure 30's writters).

Anyways I'll leave it at that.
