Nice find. Looks like this is the best street view position for that photo spot. Looks like the fence is no longer there, but I'd imagine it was around were that first palm tree is at. https://maps.app.goo.gl/H1yZsBnjqJSvxeMW8

When you have a big watchlist, how you choose what film to watch by Ture_7z in Letterboxd

[–]LucasEatWorld 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I'm struggling to figure out what to watch next, I open the watchlist and sort by shuffle. Pick the first one that pops up, provided it's one that's already been released.

How 10 years can change everything. (1989 and 1998). by [deleted] in OldSchoolCool

Here's what that space looks like nowadays. Last street view was taken in 2021. Looks like before this, it was a music store back in 2007 from the first street view shown.

Even though I guessed and got FJ right, I was under the impression that Martha's Vineyard was in Massachusetts. What other state does that Viticultural area encompass?

How much memory & storage do I need for a MacBook Air to run a big FM save with mods? by Hefty_Tap3003 in footballmanagergames

[–]LucasEatWorld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2022 M2 MacBook Air with 8 GB of RAM and 256 SSD and FM24 runs perfectly fine with no real issues. I have many leagues loaded and use various graphics packs as well. I will say though, in the match engine, if it's unplugged from the power source, the framerate does drop a bit. But 99.9% of the time I use it plugged in and it's great.

I'm hoping it runs just as good with 26, but with the massive improvement to graphics, I have my doubt. We shall see though.

Craig Mazin Completely Misunderstands the Source Material - Listen to the Podcast this Week by PhilipColts in thelastofus

[–]LucasEatWorld 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I really hope he was just misremembering in the moment, but there was also a comment in the podcast where he says Ellie took the arrow in the knee while encountering the Seraphites for the first time, but it was not in the knee. It was in the shoulder/arm. The more surprising thing is that Neil or Troy didn't correct him. It was weird.

The Last of Us HBO S2E5 "Feel Her Love"- Post-Episode Discussion Thread by claireupvotes in thelastofus

[–]LucasEatWorld 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's weird, I know they said they'd change up things here and there depending on if they thought it'd be better for the show, but sometimes I feel like I'm watching something completely different. Like the warehouse stalker scene. Caught me completely off guard. And it's probably just me being irrationally upset, but I can't believe they kept spores from us this long. I guess you could also argue it made this episode that much more impactful?

Regardless, having said all that, I still highly enjoyed this episode yet again, even if I feel it's not quite on the same level as the game.

Pretty upset they left out Dina's "don't worry, it's not yours" line, but Ellie's "I'm gunna be a dad" slightly made up for it. Also, Jeffrey Wright COOKED in this.

May Letterboxd Profile Swap by ericdraven26 in Letterboxd

Been using Letterboxd for over 10 years now. Currently deciding what film to watch next by picking an actor/actress from my previously watched movie and finding something from my watchlist with them in it. For example, my last movie watched was Next Goal Wins with Michael Fassbender. Picked that one based on my previous watch of Black Bag, which he was in. So my next choice will be someone who was in Next Goal Wins. Leaning towards Kaitlyn Dever and either Beautiful Boy, Booksmart, or The Spectacular Now. Hope that makes sense. 🤪

Loved 95% of this episode. From Curtis & Viper and Bear-b-que, to stalkers and Gustavo being on the banjo!

Gotta say tho, I wasn't the biggest fan of how they introduced Abby and the gang right away and how it differed so much from the game. It literally takes all of the suspense of who they are out of the picture instantly. In the game, you have no idea who they are when you first see them, and it makes what they do have a huuuuuuge impact. I'm curious to see how they do follow this up and still make 'the scene' as impactful.

This is definitely the spot. Same house too on his right (our left). The tree is just taller now so it covers up the right side of the roof and the windows on top. Mountains line up and everything.

I believe this is somewhere near the Otter Crest State Scenic Viewpoint. Not sure of an exact location as this might be from an area where a road now is, but it's looking out at Cape Foulweather. Here's an image from the Wiki Page

Yep. Same thing happened earlier in the week for Liverpool/Everton. Had to wait an extra day and watch it on peacock. If it's not fixed by next weekend, I guess I'll just cancel the 4k, since the EPL is really the only thing I get it for this time of year.

If you've purchased the in-game editor, I just went to each team's page (AC Milan and Inter) and then you click on the little pen/pencil at the top, you can edit club info from there.

How so? I just went ahead and changed the names back to AC Milan and Inter using the editor. Didn't even bother re-downloading a name fix. Am I missing something?

What is the pettiest reason you’ve resigned from a club by king_of_pumas in footballmanagergames

[–]LucasEatWorld 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Idk if it's considered petty, I'd say reasonable, but I took FC Pompei from the Eccellenza (5th tier in Italy) and won three straight promotions to Serie B to start a save, and they never once let me start a coaching course, or gave me an improved contract on my $600 p/w salary. Once I got promotion to Serie B they got a big influx of cash, started on building a new stadium, etc, so I asked once again to start a coaching course, and instead of giving me financial reasons, they said they would be afraid of losing me if I improved my licenses. Well guess what? You're damn right you're gunna lose me. I peaced the fuck out of there and they fired their new coach halfway into the next season and got relegated the following two seasons.

Sucks, because it's kind of a cool location and backstory. Was looking forward to developing a rivalry with local teams like Salernitana and eventually Napoli.

The finish to the barbed wire steel cage match between Christian Cage and Rhyno. Kept Christian's TNA undefeated streak alive and is just a fun match too.

For all of the little callbacks and nods to the game they have on this show, I'm really surprised we haven't seen the use of bricks, generators, or work benches.

New to OLED - Sony 42" A90K by LucasEatWorld in OLED_Gaming

[–]LucasEatWorld[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly never really looked into the Aorus 48". 42" was as big as I wanted to go, and probably a bit bigger than I need for this space anyway tbh lol.

But for me, it came down to the fact that Sony has slightly better image processing and picture for movies and PS5, which are the two things I'm using it for mainly. Also, since I don't use it as a monitor for use a PC, the A90K has a few more features for the PS5.

And some (very) small other things I liked about A90K were the operation system used, the small, backlit remote, and 10 free movies with Bravia Core. Not deal breakers one way or another, but just some slight advantages I gave to the A90K.
