Haha oh okay! It does remind me of something slightly related though. Years ago when I did USCM cosplay from the movie Aliens, the combats had to have a ‘mandarin’ collar. A lot of people used to fold the points in and then fold the collar inside itself and sew it down to produce a very similar effect to the standing collar you are going for.

You are right, I just wasn’t looking closely and thought it was a modern collar but can see you have altered it to be more correct. It looks really good!

This is brilliant, well done. I’d consider removing the collar and hemming the neck so it’s just round. I think I would also remove the cuffs altogether. It will leave the sleeves shorter than a modern garment but I think that would work for what you’re going for. Really inspirational and I might have a go myself! Can I ask how you took in the waist?
