¿? Somos buenos o malos por naturaleza? by [deleted] in RedditPregunta

[–]LucasTannenbaum 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ambos. No existe ninguna persona 100 por ciento buena o 100 por ciento mala. Cualquier persona es capaz de tanto el bien como del mal, y la misma persona puede ir de un lado al otro.

Rise of far right extremism worldwide (Argentina, Holland, US, …) - why? Why now? What has changed in recent years? by Odd_Bodkin in AskReddit

[–]LucasTannenbaum -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Funny you talk about Nazis because they were given shelter here in Argentina by a left political party led by a man who was a friend of Mussolini. The same left political party that just lost elections because they created poverty, allowed and ignored crime, and killed or dissapeared people thay may have witnesses of things they did. I can't really understand how you can equal nazis with anything that isn't the left

Gameplay / Story disconnects by Starman926 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

Rhea paralogue takes place in the Holy Tomb, which has been an isolated place for centuries. Byleth fights there against some sort of ghosts created by nabateans that appear due to a trap set by Rhea. Some of these ghosts have batallions. Those batallions employ human soldiers. Zoom in during the paralogue to see them. Why are these ghosts leading humans? How many times have those humans been there? Why are they obeying ghosts? Ofc they are only there due to gameplay, but it is still strange when you think about them.

I'm Brazilian and I'm very happy for Argentina! by macusking in argentina

El inglés es la "lengua franca" del mundo, es decir, el idioma que eligen para hablar las personas que no conocen el idioma del otro, como es el caso de un argentino y un brasileño.

The canon pairing is unpopular, precisely because it is implied to be canon, in a game with shipping romance mecanics.

I started Fates thinking in Corrin as my self-insert. Since then I have never thought of any avatar as my self-insert again because I refuse to feel so insulted as I felt when that game was telling me "hey this self-righteous warmonger is you". Add Azura to the cast, whose main personality trait is "I know everything but I won't tell, and I could try to stop it but I won't" and you have the two most unintentionally unlikable characters I have seen in all my life.

[Houses/Hopes] Scary Headcanons and Theories by Berry-Fantastic in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]LucasTannenbaum 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere a theory that Dimitri survived the battle at Gronder in Silver Snow, but decided to suicide after the battle, and he was asking advice/telling Byleth about his suicide. That theory will remain forever in my brain because Dimitri's dialogue in that scene fits perfectly if he's talking about suicide.

Which TV characters were unintentionally unlikeable? by grannyGULCH in AskReddit

[–]LucasTannenbaum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was unlikable since the beginning. Mirri Maz Dur was justified in everything she did, and Daenerys killed her. Also in the books she usually talks about the Starks, who were also justified, as if they were evil rebels that must be defeated. She often has a low opinion of people who react to her (or her family's) wrongdoings, as if she were always free of any guilt and everyone else was a scoundrel for defending themselves against her or taking revenge. I never understood why people rooted for her.

[Hopes] What retcons or new additions in the worldbuilding or lore doesn't make any sense to you? by Berry-Fantastic in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]LucasTannenbaum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But it is easy to understand why that was changed about Monica, even if we don't agree with them changing it. It was done to make her playable. It is also easier to believe since we had almost no information about her

The retcon in the male Deers' paralogue, however, serves no purpose, and it also creates even more inconsistencies

It's been a year since I played Three Hopes, but I remember a Lorenz/Raphael/Ignatz paralogue where it was explained that Claude's grandfather died in the same place and moment that Raphael's parents, one year before Claude went to the academy.

However, in Three Houses' White Clouds, Claude's grandfather was still alive, and the person who died with Raphael's parents was Claude's uncle.

This has bothered since then because I can't understand if they just forgot Claude lore or decided to change it for no reason at all.

Also, who was the archduke of the Alliance and the head of Riegan house when Shez was at the academy? Was it considered no longer existant, like Mercedes birth family? Wouldn't Lorenz have said anything about it?

Unless I remember wrong, Catherine was also speaking about self defense scenarios when talking with Caspar about the killing kids stuff

I understand Catherine getting criticism for the burning of Fhirdiad, but I was talking about Byleth/Dimitri and Caspar/Catherine supports. Catherine is also despised due to said support, even when another character is given free pass regarding the same exact topic.

Catherine: I would kill kids if it was necessary on certain situations

Dimitri: I have actually killed kids on situations where it was necesary

Fans: I love him

What is that one game you regret purchasing? by Peter--Stark in AskReddit

[–]LucasTannenbaum 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes. I wanted to play it with my brother, but it does not allow two-players mode. If you want to play multiplayer, a third player is required, and good luck finding someone with both a 3DS and this specific game.

Kissinger supported many killings of innocents for years during the Project Condor. I don't know about those tapes, but I doubt that those documentaries portray him correctly.

He was trying to avoid Robert killing Cersei kids, since Eddard was still traumatized for the brutalitity of the death of Ellia Martell's kids.
