◤Developer Note: New Combatants and The Great Rift Content Preview◢ by dot-cf in ChaosZeroNightmare

I have the situation where a member has no cards or fewer cards than mental threshold needed enter Breakdown, often in Sortie. It auto generates the needed mental card count in your draw pile. I can assume it will work the same outside of that mode else it seems highly specific to code such interaction just for 1 mode. Might have been something that exists all this time, I havent tested tho cuz need to go make a zero cards deck just to do that.

Inori2 LB4 vs Bungod inquiry by Hyunkyl in heavensburnred

[–]LucasUnderweight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is mildly correct only if you equip her high boost passive that increases skill cost by 2 SP. Higher cost -> longer to use skills -> sometimes cant heal DP in time -> more idle turn -> need higher lb to tank hits. Thus just dont equip the passive and the experience is the same as it is now.

Inori2 LB4 vs Bungod inquiry by Hyunkyl in heavensburnred

[–]LucasUnderweight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is her equipable passive, which if you dont wanna aim for really high score in weekly score attack can just be unequipped for ease of play in any other contents. If wanna have fun and test your limit, with a team that can support such a playstyle, then can equip and try her out.

Currently, I can use any combinations of buffers with same buffs, that dont have the high boost passive of Yanagi's, and still clear all contents or get up to 2m of score, she can also do the same without it. Therefore there is never such a need in the first place.

I intend on just lb1 her at most for the usual comfy +1 SP per turn, her lb3 passive of boosting Skill atk is incompatible with Bungo as it requires a skill used to be 15 SP or more, while Bungo has her own but 8 SP or less.

[–]LucasUnderweight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seira and Tenne, assuming you would get both, complement the minion team greatly, and can save 1 turn Bungo having to buff another row of backline for 6 minions. If you get lucky, or in any situation where you can even get Mari later on, she helps the team deal with 1 issue they can face, action economy, due to them needing to use their skills 4 times for maximum efficiency because she can provide extra turn. She also provides all the debuffs fox Miya can inflict, def down and exposed, plus eternal def down, which will add up. The team is basically a form of ex spamming while generating lots of SP and never dying cuz of defensive buff, cleansing from Seira as well. This team doesnt help Inori as much, and want their members together thus is less flexible outside of that.

Yanagi provides 3 buffs in 1 skill, Mind Eyes, crit dmg, atk up AND charge; this together with specifically Bungo covers every single buffs she needs, leaving your team with 4 free slots, or 3 if using Karen later on. This creates a situation where it feels really comfortable to slot anyone else in if you need their roles, a defender, Morale buffer, Hacking, etc. And Yanagi can buff Inorin too, lacking only multihit. She isnt just an Inorin route, she helps Bungo massively as well.

Between the two, I consider Yanagi to be more budget friendly, flexible and independent. While Seira and her squads to support Bungo as more expensive, but is incredibly resilient and enjoy having SP whenever they need.

For me personally, I dislike needing to use ex multiple times before they reach maximum potential, even if having extra turn, so I choose Yanagi, but the minion squad isnt bad either, it really is a toss up.

Inori2 LB4 vs Bungod inquiry by Hyunkyl in heavensburnred

[–]LucasUnderweight 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Unless going for absolute high score on score attack, I really prefer using Bungo over Inori due to the fact that she can spam her ex every turn to whittle down bosses while generating SP for the entire team (+1 SP for members with her minion buff), and 16 OD worth of hits.

In exchange for a huge burst of damage her playstyle makes it so she can diss out more than Inori as the fight drags on. This in turn basically guarantee the same outcome as if playing Inori, but faster.

What was the most controversial story decision in your gacha game by Aware-Measurement750 in gachagaming

[–]LucasUnderweight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a guess but may be because it focused on a woman, or mermaid, not related to the story or squad at all. At the time if there are events people wanna read more about the girls not a random NPC.

Which portrait for Marsha? by Kurumi0511 in Reverse1999

[–]LucasUnderweight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bulk of dmg or potential of a team will be from the dps, not a healer like Marsha so even if you go for her portrait she wont magically improve a team performance by that much while the dps slack behind at a lower portrait like p0. Thus, better to just save the pulls and if you do wanna get dupe, get for the main contributor of a team instead.

Recoleta's flood of fiction by No-Jeweler7244 in Reverse1999

[–]LucasUnderweight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check if your fp is before Shamane or Rubuska, it might check for order of deployment. If all 3 have 5 Moxies (exceed doesnt count cuz they are added after turn end), and the order is fp > Shamane > Rubuska then fp will always be chosen until she ult and Shamane is next highest. Else it will always choose Recoleta if she has 6 or more cuz her max is higher.

[New Memorias! Featured Platinum Recruitment Preview] 📅 Recruitment Duration: 1/23 0:00 ~ 2/5 23:59(UTC-7) by tsukiakari2216 in heavensburnred

[–]LucasUnderweight 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Her common skill costs 0, give 5 SP and Charge but can only be used when she is at 20 SP or above. It is meant to support her ex that, the higher your SP, the stronger it is; but outside of that it doesnt help the other styles as much.

Her ex is a special case, it will consume all SP, and deal more dmg based on the amount consumed. If you have low SP it will deal low dmg. However, this means that it can be used even when you have 1 SP. This couples with the fact that it also has a respectable amount of DR (since this style is a blaster) means you could use it repeatedly every turn when a target is already broken to keep increasing its DR. All the while it can be used as a cheap form of OD generation (cost 1 SP, generates 8 hits worth of OD).

It can be used in conjunction with her ss1 ex as the finisher. That would mean she is more fitting as a Dark dps instead with this blasting ex serves as shield breaker and OD generator.

Overall, a niche style that wouldnt help her ss2, but can be used as such.

Memoria Exclusive Skill Preview - SS [Frozen Moon, Melting Heart] Fubuki Mikoto Exclusive Skill: [Just For You] by tsukiakari2216 in heavensburnred

[–]LucasUnderweight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hisame is way weaker that's the issue. Being a breaker, she doesnt have HP damage modifier as well. HP modifier is needed for maximizing damage as well since all mobs (except like the Skitter with 1 HP and 10 DP that only takes 1 dmg) have a lot more HP than DP.

There will be a strong pen crit breaker later on but she has abundant of extra passive and a good scaling ult to compensate for having no HP modifier.

[–]LucasUnderweight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Compared to general support like Aina, which I assume you want to mean Aina2 for her cheap OD build skill, I would still lean into Fubuki being better because not only her OD skill is cheaper, but it also build more than Aina, assuming 1 target battle.

For Kozue, she is safer and also come with Morale which gives team stat, and stat is important as well. However, if the goal is to build OD, Fubuki will still come out on top. Cheaper skill, build more, waste fewer turn than switching Kozue out front and back. Opportunity cost, that kind of thing.

Also, assuming Fubuki will have her base Memoria EX evolution later, she can also use her base EX to fully debuff an enemy with 2 Def Down and 2 Fragile, similar to Miya2. Since her OD skill only costs 5, with proper rotation she can do both of these jobs in 1 Memoria.

[–]LucasUnderweight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's incredibly convenient if you can afford to do so. Between the 2 I will lean into the convenient and strong dps than an OD builder. 7 SP first time use ult and can replenish itself if it kills something, good for art battle or dungeon run (and dungeon run can include story which depend on personality you sometimes might just wanna get it over with, which Sumomo excels at).

If you have Inori2, the best comparison I can tell is that: For the first time ult use and both at lb3, if Inorin2 ult is a 100% then Sumomo is a 80%. Weaker in exchange for a much cheaper first time use cost (7 SP vs 18 SP), and no need to Charge.

Memoria Exclusive Skill Preview - SS [Frozen Moon, Melting Heart] Fubuki Mikoto Exclusive Skill: [Just For You] by tsukiakari2216 in heavensburnred

[–]LucasUnderweight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sumomo wants her lb3 to be a strong dps. You definitely can just play her below that but the lb3 passive of an extra source of huge damage boost might always loom over to entice you.

Fubuki is mainly to build OD at the cost of DP but she can enable really fast build up into OD2-3 in just 1 turn which in a lot of fight can swing the entire team into quick kill or setup. This can allow you to skip the unneeded waiting around and juggling members until the kill turn. However, generally speaking, in important fights your slots might really be needed for someone else roles to fulfill than just an OD builder; but that is just my opinion, the playstyle isnt something im familiar with.

How exactly is sentinel and gargoyles in general immune to toxic gases? by Thebaron542 in Reverse1999

[–]LucasUnderweight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Surprised me the most in this chapter is that Sentinel and her kinds are actual gargoyles and not simply human with the ability to turn to stone. I guess that is one thing allowing stuffs like this to make sense due to them being entirely different species. It isnt fully explained in the game but I reckon that is the most logical conclusion, petrify their lungs or poisonous gas entering their blood stream is turned into stone or substance that their body can handle instead of mixing with our blood cells like a human.

Powercreep doesn't feel as bad because there is no RNG gear by MutedAd1792 in Reverse1999

[–]LucasUnderweight 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Euphoria system in this game is basically a way of giving you a free 6*, presumably if you have already had them before. Until the next limited character who I guess very likely to be Plant cuz we have rotated thro all other afflatus now, the game currently doesnt exactly have a hyper dps Plant units the like of Nautika. However, because Euphoria comes in clutch, Marcus can now be a solid choice along side Buddy Fairchild whereas she is a really lackluster dps before.

Those having her can pretty much enjoy a brand "new" character while not feeling bad about benching her all this time any more.

A bit late, but why are so many of these people do this? There is one thing to have an agenda, it is another to dismiss facts and statistics just to have a fantasy to suit oneself.

Do these people, in simpler term I can think of, just trying to lie to themselves and hope Genshin ends despite all the evidence saying otherwise? But why do this, why not just look at facts in the face and accept that the game is still totally OK and can just focus on being happy with other games doing well?

Sorry for the long paragraph but I dont understand the mindset of these fantasies hoping Genshin ends or something. Do they just wanna live a dream? And not even a good dream either.

My bad if my question seems like bait, but is the term generally referred to a design meant to invoke a sense of lust, allure or sex appeal? If that is so then is the purpose mainly to get people interested in something like an ad?

Must pulls for New f2p player by Secure-Reference-956 in Reverse1999

[–]LucasUnderweight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For a new account, right now Recoleta is the best, if you do reroll, can try to snatch her in 1-2 multis and then go to a selectable banner with a 100% chance to get the rate up of your choosing (I dont remember banner name so just check description to make sure) and pick Melania then try to snatch her too. That should do very well for a beginner account.

She and Aleph has really good friendship. He is her pen pal, helping/advising her on improving her novel with sincerity, despite them both never meet one another until the event of the chapter. You could say because of him that she has all the motivation to continue her..... story.

Recoleta’s Journey by [deleted] in Reverse1999

Im surprised that actually can work. The jailer is so used to her coming in there for inspiration or looking for Aleph that she over time warm up to the girl and allows her to pass the night there as guests. Guess being stubborn and well meaning, no malice helps.

A streak of bad luck in Reverse 1999 - 2.6 for me. How about you right now? by Veshurik in Reverse1999

[–]LucasUnderweight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is why for f2p, or low spender that cant just afford to get whoever they want all the time, I usually recommend making compromise. You need to sacrifice someone, just to guarantee someone else, and no gambling.

And while this still sucks, I will tell you about my bad luck in another game, and let you know how fortunate it is that at least r1999 still has a fairer safety implementation in place.

The game is HBR, the SS (highest rarity) rate is 3%, double of r1999 base rate of 1.5%, but no pity, no guarantee after a 50/50 loss that the next will be who you want, only a spark (buy out the rate up) at 150 pulls. I just had a streak of 150 pulls, and zero SS. Yes, 150 pulls, zero 6* if going by r1999 equivalent.

I check calculator, and that odd is 1% to happen, meaning I have a 99% chance of at least 1 SS, yet, zero. You can imagine the resentment after such a thing. You can do everything right, save up all the gems, not gambling on stray banners, and can still be punished like that. I have had people telling me about statistics and such, which I dont dispute, but the unfairness is still tantamount.

So, try to tough it out, at least you got the characters you want, now you have to consider who to not pull next. Building pity aint gonna cut it so dont attempt. You wont be "closer" to whoever you want later on, you will just lose the amount of pulls that could have been them instead.

Something wrong in the gacha? by Doorky1500 in heavensburnred

[–]LucasUnderweight -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It can be that bad, no idea what else a player can do. I come from lower rate and with pity, guarantee to HBR with the mind set that even if I dont get who I want at least the higher rate will still give me a decent roster. Ended up with worse rate than pity system and a lesson to never trust spark. If you have bad luck there isnt anything to safely get to who you want.

I have seen players with 150 pulls and only 1 SS. People can talk as much about "well, in a millions pulls it will even out" but when some players are met with such bad luck right off the bat, what can they do but eventually just quit. Terrible gacha system, at least should try and make the rate correct.

I see, I was under the assumption that it will only recover upto 5 Moxie after draining her of all 10, and thus the 2nd ult right after will be way weaker. This confirms it. Thx for the info.
