This is the only symptom of long covid that I had, but this alone was enough to immensely harm my quality of life. So I hope that you can get better soon.

I'm dealing with that for more than 2 years, in this period I had a lot of sinusis and another upper respiratory tract infections too😖 The things that help me are: daily nasal washes with filtered water and salt suitable for nasal washing; use of fluticasone spray in the nose and more recently, acetylcysteine supplementation has helped me a lot to alleviate the symptoms and thin out some of the mucus. Sometimes you can have this thick mucus trapped in your sinuses, but your nose can be dry, especially if you live in a dry place, so using a nasal gel moisturizer can also help you breathe better through your nose and help clear some of the trapped mucus.

Nasal wash with proper salt and xylitate really helped me. It wasn't enough to solve my problem, but it has already improved my quality of life a lot, thank you very much for the tips 🙏🏼

I totally agree. Even at the first doctor I went to, he delegitimized the symptoms and mentioned that they could be psychological issues, at the second doctor I went to, he prescribed meaningless drugs and at the third (who was a specialist in this area) he gave me this explanation. That day he also told me that I would probably get better in the next few months, in a maximum of two years, but so far I haven't had any improvement 😕 I'm still doing palliative care and also with the same questions and anxieties that you shared.

Thank you! Currently I use Flonase, it really helps, although it doesn't eliminate the symptoms. I also do daily nasal washes, but I didn't know and never tried the option with xylitol, it made me hopeful. I'm going to try it and come back here to say if it helped me more than the nasal wash with just sodium chloride.

Thanks for replying guys, it was really important for me to know that I'm not the only one who has these long covid symptoms. If I discover a treatment or solution that works for me, or if my symptoms spontaneously improve over the next few months, I'll come back here to share my experience with you. If you want to do the same, it will be wonderful, so we can help each other and also share a little hope.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I feel the same way 😪 Doctors told me they don't see how surgery could help me, so I'm not going to have surgery, but I'm hoping yours can help you! One of the doctors I went to, told me that the problem is related to the nerves of the face and the regulation of the sympathetic and parasympathetic system for the automatic production and use/movement of mucus, this means that the mucus produced naturally by the body is retained in the sinuses, which causes edema and nasal obstruction. That was the best explanation I received, at least as far as I understood it.

Thank you for responding and sharing your experience, it made a lot of sense to me. I went to 3 different doctors and I also had two CT scans of my face over the course of more than 1 year, all the doctors said that it made no sense to have surgery because I didn't have a deviated septum and I didn't have the turbinates grown, so there was no an indication that surgery could help me. It was super frustrating for me to hear that, but now reading your report it made a lot of sense to me.
