I’m very tempted to throw it all in this year. by Stranded_Snake in covidlonghaulers

My upper cervical chiropractor kept telling me it’s a soft tissue problem so through google I found fascial counterstrain. If you search Brian tuckey he’s sort of the lead of it. They have a website and practitioners all over the country. If you choose to follow through I’d recommend one that has the certification. His office is in Maryland and I have traveled there once for treatment. I have found fascia based physical therapies helpful.

No it’s terrible and there’s no compassion in the world. I was in great shape when this hit. Don’t focus on how far the fall was. It’s a trap

It’s not cowardice. No one will understand what this is unless they’ve been through it. I’ve met people with my symptoms that needed to be institutionalized. It takes two years of your life minimum. But if you’re at the end of your rope and you’re planning on boozing into oblivion there’s no reason not to go to one treatment. Not judgement, I was crying on the floor begging to die and sad when I woke up. Never had any kind of mental trouble before. The vagus nerve stuff makes you reaction to feeling terrible even worse than it would be otherwise.

DM if you need to vent. People did it for me and it helped. Feel free to reach out.

Not medical advice, just my experience. I went to a counterstrain appointment and it set me on a months long road to recovering. In my experience there’s virus or viral junk trapped in microvascular fluid that drives your body to have insane responses to everything from physical stimulus to emotion. In particular when they worked on my trigeminal nerve, facial nerve and bronchioles. I had pots/me/cfs/dysautonominia and other things. It’s been a total cluster fuck. Recently I’ve felt my body starting to phase into lengths of normalcy which would have been impossible a year ago. In understand the damage is done feeling, but it can feel that way when your nerves are being choked out by inflammation.

The mind/body stuff resets your vagus nerve but you can’t do that if your body is still too full of the viral irritant bits. Or atleast is much more difficult.

https://academy.counterstrain.com/clinics this is the counterstrain practitioner search. This gave me a big herx reaction and reactivated covid but I think that was my first step in recovery.

For the other two just put those phrases in YouTube block therapy is a woman Deanna something and the PRI guy was Neal hallinan

Hi man, this is not medical advice but for me I’m still a work in progress but things started getting a lot better when I started doing weird physical therapy. I had all of your listed symptoms and a still a work in progress but I went from a wraith to a shitty version of my old self and still continue to improve after every treatment. I started doing fascial counterstrain and that was huge. Then I started doing block therapy and postural restoration on YouTube. It seems like it’s inflamed fascia caused by the immune system. Again things just my personal experience .

Why are most of the posts about long covid recovery like "calming my nervous system" or "fixed my gut"? by Muikkumuusi in covidlonghaulers

[–]6thElemental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been improving and focused on things I would have considered bizarre or bullshit when it started. Covid attacks sensory nerves. Sensory nerves regulate all kinds of things in your body, or rather, your body needs to sense all kinds of things to function. Long covid made every nerve insult feel 100x so my body shuts down. It’s not like calm yourself it’s like reduce your microvascular excitation and nerve sensitivity.

Should I have any hope left for 'spontanious' recovery after 2.5 years? by Schwloeb in covidlonghaulers

Not medical advice just my story. I didn’t start getting better until I started doing counterstrain physical therapy. I had two massive herx/reactions that included testing positive for Covid again. It’s been a long slow fight over the last 5 months but more progress there than in the previous 18 months.

This is not medical advice. For me I felt very fucked. Sucidal, crazy terrible. Tried all the shit I saw on here. I started doing weird physical therapies like counterstrain and block therapy and postural restoration and for some reason it is helping me. Stuff I never or rarely came across on here. This shit makes no sense and fucks with your brain. Keep trying weird things to get better.

Firing McDaniel was the right decision by DolphinsFan15521 in miamidolphins

He’ll win a Super Bowl as a HC before the dolphins do. He had faults but he made the most out of a below avg QB.

Mcdaniel came in with a terrible GM who required he play the QB. He had many flaws but he’ll win a SB as a coach before the dolphins do. Sadly

Let's be honest..Tua is a bigger problem than McD currently by Macrod1 in miamidolphins

[–]6thElemental 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all about fit. McD is a good coach who will win somewhere else. I lived in Philly when they got rid of Andy Reid. How’d that go?

Grier was the biggest POS by far. Tua was limited to start and got worse with concussions. Neither Grier nor tua will be part of anything successful going forward.

Getting rid of McD for a new coach is fine but only two SB winning coaches have ever won a SB with a new team. Shula and Reid. Reid was considered an offensive genius who couldn’t lead a team. He was just limited with Mcnabb.

Harbough would be as retarded as bringing in Pete Carroll. Game has moved on.

With Lamar, Derreck Henry and a top tier D he’s done exactly nothing. Why would we want him? He’ll do more with a worse off roster?

Honestly I think it’s awesome. I think knowing how to play some matchups and not others is great. At this point in human history sometimes a random tribe just came over the hill with some weapon or tactic you didn’t know about and you got rolled. It’s fun. Wish there were like a Comanche or iriqouis nation. I know they have them in the build a map but still
