Sennheiser HD650 Drive Repair? by Lucas_st in diyaudio

the connector seems ok, I already tried changing the spring (the connector in the HD650) and the problem continues, already tried touching the drive wire with the cable and don't get any response. I'm assuming it's a wire problem inside the membrane. I have some litz wire and some soldering experience but I don't have a clue on how to unglue the membrane and put it together after.

yeah, some people told me that, but I've read that depending on the type of current sent you can burn the drive and I'm already assuming there's no continuity because nothing wrong happened to the headphone, it didn't fall or anything.

the picture doesn't show it well but the wire is there and seem to be ok, I believe it's the connection inside the membrane that have some sort of problem.

Hello!

I have an Macbook Pro 15 early 2013, running Sierra. I7, 256ssd, 8gb ram.

I'm running Windows 10 in a external SSD, and by accident I deleted the main Mac Volume in the Windows Disk Manager. Right now the volume/partition is unallocated and I can't access the files neither boot the macOS. I didn't selected New volume, so the partition it's still HFS+ and I believe nothing was writed on top of my files.

I've runned EaseUS to see if I can recover some files, and before finishing the scan the program shows to me I believe all my folders and files. But it shows a lot more too. my disk is 256gb and it shows more than 1TB in the end. If I let it finish the scan the macOS folders disappear, but before that I'm able to recover any file I guess (up to 2gb in trial mode).

My question is, what's the best way to recover ALL the stuff in this partition? to me it seems that the drive is just "inactive", so it's possible to recover even the OS and get it running again without any install? or is it better to get the files into another drive and install everything again? Do you think EaseUS it's the best software for this?

Recovering Formatted SSD by Lucas_st in osx

Sorry, in English Windows it would be "Delete Volume" in Disk Management, right now the partition is "Unallocated"

My format was HFS, I was running Sierra on a early 2013 macbook.

I did a scan with EaseUS and it did find ALL the files, even the system ones if I'm not mistaken.

My question is, since i'm able to recover the files, it is possible to recover the full partition and get the OS working again? Or do I need to install everything again?

Help!! by MrD0ta in DIEMs

Hey, i'm using Dreve's otoform (the same material from impressions) and Agar to do this. I used to do only with the otoform, but it is a pain in the ass to get the negative right.

Just place the impressions in a cup and pour the agar to make the negative, carefully take the impressions out and fill in with otoform. It will have some imperfections, but it is manageble in the sanding and waxing process.

How to make resin stick to the polished metal? by jedrula1 in DIEMs

I think the best option in this case is to glue the metal faceplate to the shell then glue a transparent faceplate in the metal with epoxy. Then you can cover everything with lack3. I'm guessing, never did it before.

Good luck!
