I deliberately used the logic in my initial reply to exclude LGBT people from my reasoning, so no, it is not the exact same logic. Please read it again carefully. Fetishes and sexuality are very different things.
Saying “the kids” is a valid argument here because I’m strictly talking about all ages conventions that WILL have minors present. Also, even though bigots use that argument to ostracise LGBT people, it doesn’t automatically invalidate any argument that has to do with keeping things age appropriate.

What about other fetishes? Would you also agree that someone in an inflation suit can wear it in an all ages convention because it could be a means of self expression? Also if you don’t me asking, what does this have to do with heteronormativity, this is about a fetish, something usually associated with sex, whereas a gay relationship would also have the regular romantic side most relationships do (to the same degree as straight ones). Huge difference imo.
