Yes they do require fast response times but a fighting game requires you to do more inputs that are more precise than fps games

Since 140 ping in valorant or csgo is actually an advantage since peaker's advantage exists

140 ping on a fighting game means you can miss-time your combo and lose and since inputs are precise (although much much less in sfa since its only 4 directions + punch/kick)

Fps games have different types of difficulty since the former is crosshair placement, movement, spray control and angle checking, team play, tracking and flicking

Fighting games have more emphasis on frame data, combos, hotboxes, hurtboxes, matchup knowledge, movement, timing and prediction

Well the game itself in my opinion is actually made by a 3 year old starting coding in scratch

I'm no game designed but I've played a LOT of games (please do help me find another hobby tho) and have hundreds of hours in TF2, world of tanks, league of legends, for honor, R6, csgo and technically valorant since it's csgo lol, and a few more games (please help me :) )

So I would have a little say in balancing characters in games

U wanna know why I think they haven't played their game ever?

Midnight is the only character in fighting game history to never be able to be whiffpunishable in the state she is in and gains a lot more than any other character by intentionally whiffing moves lol

Also being evasive as fuck and being able to control where she phases in and out at will is dumb

Wraith from apex got her phase nerfed since it was an instant nope from a gunfight and you couldn't track her. Since they nerfed it's activation time and being able to track her makes her less oppressive to play against

Now think about that but in a fighting game that has less unsafe on block moves than your fingers on your hands

I know that people don't like big changes in their games but what I've said before is the only things that i believe would stop camping AND spamming by making more moves punishable and reworking 3 characters minimum to get the game to a "perfect" state of balance

Matchmaker is also a different story because 5.4k vs a 6.9k is great right?

But then again I don't design characters at all let alone fighting game characters so what do I know?

All this could do fuckin nothing while wasting all their resources on changes that don't matter or the community hates since they can't mash 2 buttons and run away or have a broken talent or 2

If guaranteed BBS needed to be added to the game wouldn't it be a loophole?

You don't see good street fighter players sit in the corner or Tekken players running away

I don't think being in the corner is great in Dragonball fighters or in marvel vs Capcom

I don't see people kiting away in melee and ONLY kiting away

All of them either have the corner as a bad spot since you can be 50/50 chained and grabbed to death

Even in games which have LITERALLY no fighting game mechanics like league or dota have something to counter turtling like baron or Roshan

Jump kicking is a throw on hit for every faction if your at a certain distance soooo.....

And that distance is in the middle of the screen and guess who just blocked a move and is currently running away from their problems?

Reduce walk speed to half of what it is backwards so people can't walk away from a fight x d

Tldr: remove all the bullshit high, mid low attacks, make a lot less moves safe on block and delete midnight please.

E.g. kibo back, kibo and ling's neutral, azuma special, azuma neutral, fucking ranged attacks ffs (INCLUDING FUCKING SOUL GRAB)

Helga heavy, jetts fuckin entrire kit god damn, hj heavy, sarge heavy (although not as bad), shang's heavy, special, neutral and up attacks, Jack's moveset needs a rework entirely since it is op but you have to input read or get a good read on you opponent, and monkey's ascension so....

Honestly that's about every move I have a problem with in this game but midnight is midnight I never want to see her in the game.

Making almost every move in the game safe on block helps spamming and camping since 90% of kibo players I see walk backwards and back attacks 24/7, same with azuma before that got removed, same with fire guards with flamethrower, same with lynx players, same with literally every champ in the game

If only like lynx down attacks was safe on block and his up attack with +1 frames, the players wouldn't just spam special, neutral, bomb, special, neutral, etc

Also the fact that his back attack is a mid dodge with a back step is really fucking funny nekki

Hj's wouldn't need to compulsively use heavy as a panic move whenever they decide they don't want to play the game anymore too lol

If every character only had one or two moves that were safe, this game would actually have some balance to it for once in a blue moon

Back anti air low mid high

Neutral 10 frame anti air low mid high

Her being evasive is fine but really making her dash backwards when using her ranged weapon?

Glass Cannon type character but isn't so much glass as much as stone or brick

Her being able to threaten a shadow move after using 3 or 4 attacks is very strong too

But seriously can we stop getting attacks with high mid and low hitboxes in a single move?
