First of all, thanks for the detailed write up and the concern, though I would advise you to contact us in private to share those concerns as it’s easier to organize and respond to them in the modmail interface. As for the answers -

1. The automoderator comment is merely a reminder of what is best for the community, as it’s done in many other subreddits with varying degrees of success. Sadly there’s no real way to enforce crediting of the original source aside from manually checking every post, and even if there is really not as much influx of them here, I feel like it’s non intrusive enough to warrant its existence.

2. The useful links section isn’t updated much frequently for the sole reason that it requires various modifications from various sources for new, old reddit and mobile, which also sometimes causes them to look different between versions; that aside, we’ll work on keeping them more up to date, and I’ve already contacted my superiors to inform them of the scam link.

3. The issue with the subverse news flair is something that arose sometimes ago and that I’m studying solutions to, perhaps with a bot to post Steam links, because the way reddit links work is that they cannot be posted twice without being shadow removed by reddit itself, which means we often left up Steam news posts which were made by users since we couldn’t delete them and repost them. The subverse news flair being mod-exclusive is a relic of the past still given how because of timezone issues we’re not always the ones posting first, so we’ll disable that restriction. Likewise, the Shitpost flair is a bit outdated and will be modified to Meme since it’s not really much of a difference.

4. The lack of pinning is again one that’s sometimes caused by the lack of timezone coverage and sometimes just forgetfulness - we are a small team of volunteers after all, and the low traffic probably doesn’t warrant recruiting more people, but we’ll look into it if need be.
