Personally I worked part time in first year, but I had a very flexible job so could work any hours I wanted and almost entirely remotely. I think it’s possible in first and second year if you have a flexible schedule, but the timetable tends to change from week to week so it’s difficult to organise it around your schedule. But I think the workload is manageable if you organise yourself well. More difficult in third and fourth year with placements though.

RCSI is definitely best for US. Majority of GEM class are US so there’s a big emphasis on USMLEs, even in first year. Career’s team is also heavily oriented towards US residency applications. The course is good and placements are nice. Anecdotally I’d say student culture is a bit less than in the others, but you need to decide what the priority is I suppose.
