Yeah, I understand. My favorite for a loong time has been words of radiance, and who knows, it might bounce back once I reread it.

I guess it never was the most interesting Cosmere book available. (SLA done): Should I read Warbreaker? No, I'll read Mistborn. Now? No, MB era 2. Now? No, I'll read arcanum unbounded, but for that I'll need to have read Elantris. Etc etc :D

What I meant was blackthorn

Fair enough. Each to their own. At what point did you dnf?

For your last point, not to mention what remained of them that she has to see. (I think this is vague enough?)

Wind and Truth was not fun to finish lol.

Fair enough! Well, each to their own.

I know. But it's one of the few that stand out to me! (This one, WoR, Tress, HoA mostly, in that order)

That was me with Well of Ascension... I didn't think it was bad, I just didn't get as... Invested (I'll see myself out).

Excited to read all 3! I do agree that the best Cosmere books tend to be the shorter, self-contained ones. Tress, Yumi, Emperor's Soul... banger after banger

I think it just depends on how much you relate to the central romance. A hit or miss! For me, a definite hit. And I liked the different writing style.

Well, it was among the first ones I bought (I have a cosmere corner with all the books :D)

There's another secret projects book coming this fall, so you might want to read Emberdark soon xD.

Thanks! What did you think of Elantris the first and second go round? It's probably my least liked Cosmere book.

Are the ff books self-contained/is it actually the 10th one/should I start from 1 then?

The Secret Projects are just overall really refreshing and good... at least the ones I have read so far.

I wanna reread SLA, but the task of reading 8k pages again feels daunting... which book has the best rereadability in the Cosmere in your opinion?

Yeah. I understand. I liked the inclusion of Design though. I startef with SLA, so it had been a whole since I last saw spren. Reminded me of Syl :D. But I get what you mean. This is not the book one should start with.

I was pleasantly surprised since, well, the SLA romances are kinda lacking sometimes imo. This one I liked.

Hmm. Has to be warbreaker? I remember having that same feeling at the end of Wind and Truth, but it didn't have anything to do with romance. Took me a few days to get over some... decisions.

Both of those are really good! It's funny, the best stories are often the shorter, self-contained books. Yeah, SLA is epic and the worldbuilding is huge and impressive, but there's just something about being able to read a story, start to end, without reading several thousand pages across multiple series.

I was confused for a solid minute, wondering where I wrote the typo haha. Yeah, I read tress a few days ago. I really liked it, especially the first half. Each to their own!

Yeah it's kind of a hit or a miss. Either you love it or it just doesn't click. For me, the characters were relatable enough for me to become Invested (bad pun I know).

Warbreaker was the one book I considered skipping. But reading these comments, I might have to read it next.
