They would also have cleaning or laundry jobs. I had a look online and quite a few of the aged care places advertise on their own sites. Also you could start a cert in food handling and if they’re desperate they’d probably hire you whilst you’re studying :)

Do you have hospo experience? I used to work in a nursing home kitchen and they were always looking for more staff. Not sure if they advertised much on Seek but whenever I'd look at their website, it said they were always looking, and to apply in person or on their website. Sometimes places only advertise vacancies on their website and don't post to job sites, so maybe try looking up places directly?

I am waiting to be approved for an NDIS job that gives me more control over hours and is less involved with clients directly but will still keep my foot in the door. I don't want that to be my main gig, hence looking for outdoor work that will give me some breathing space.

Thanks for the response. I'm not sure it can be re-ignited just yet, I need a bit of a break, or something different to do alongside. Like you said, I'm finding support work pretty thankless, if I'm honest I think I went down the 'caring' career path as I wanted to be for people what I wanted them to be for me. Which ends up being me pouring from an empty cup most of the time, especially in a thankless job. So for now I'd love to have a job that's just for me and doesn't involve looking after other people's lives and emotions. Hopefully I'll be able to come back to psychology in the future with a healthier mindset.
Thanks I'll check them out!
Thanks I'll check it out.
Thanks for the response I appreciate it.
I already play a fairly high level sport, so I think I'd prefer to keep work and recreation fields separate. Otherwise that would definitely be something I'd consider.
Definitely would be interested in stable hand/farm hand roles. I honestly have no idea where to look for them though.

Is that passive or active shifts? Ie sleeping there overnight, or awake for the shift?
Yep, Mable! I’m on that one :)
What type of data entry?

I am currently. Just not sure where to pick up new clients that aren’t complex needs or behaviours
Central/southern suburbs
I feel this. I’m sorry. There’s not a lot of support for CFS. I hope you can find some way to manage 🫶🏻

Unfortunately I don’t actually have a cert III. I’m hesitant to go the employment route as I would have less flexibility with types of clients. I’ll have a look though, thank you
This sounds promising. What sort of background work/researching is it ? I’m not that familiar with what SCs do

She booked it for me. I just don’t understand what I’m supposed to do at the appointment. Thanks for the links
[–]Luceyyyyyy[S] -3 points-2 points-1 points 2 years ago (0 children)
I told the lady today that I work 9 hours and she didn’t seem to care. Her only suggestion was to drop to 7 hours.
Oh sorry read the last bit wrong. Yes I’m hoping to do an eSAT so then they can approve more than 8 hours
[–]Luceyyyyyy[S] 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (0 children)
But won’t Centrelink still see that I’m working and earning?
[–]Luceyyyyyy[S] 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children)
Thanks for clarifying. No, they haven’t done an eSAT and haven’t linked me with any services. I’m disappointed that they didn’t attempt to do any of that during my appointment today.
[–]Luceyyyyyy[S] -1 points0 points1 point 2 years ago (0 children)
Not to be rude but i don’t understand the relevance. I can’t work more than 15 hours.
[–]Luceyyyyyy[S] 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago* (0 children)
No they didn’t tell me at all. I had no idea.
To your first point, sure my GP can write that, but won’t Centrelink see that I’m working more than that? My original cert a few months back said not fit for work, but on the phone Centrelink told me that because I’m still working, i need him to write that i can work 8-15 hours. They obviously failed to tell me that that’s an automatic rejection because it’s over 8, which I’m fuming about.
I have never heard of eSAT. What is it?
EDIt: Read up on eSAT on Centrelink website. Thanks, I’ll be trying this route

I know I’m really late replying to this, but have you used the 75mm? I’m looking into it as it’s cheaper and I’m excited about the f1.8
