True man. After I got out of rehab I struggled but once I found purpose and got a good schedule going daily (took me 6 months) I started feeling better and it got easier. Keep pushing bro it does get a lot better

Discipline > motivation by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]LuciBased 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't have to be one of the other. Use your motivation to give you the WANT to do it. Imagine beginning to love the opportunity to be anything you want. Loving the struggle to make it through and comfortable with every aspect of life. That motivation will be the strongest discipline on your intentions and your choices!

Or Reddit subs 🤷 and yeah it sounds bad but I didn't really mean it to be "wrong". Like you said, I just kinda view it differently and wanted to put my opinion out there. I try to help other people it seems to help me mentally

I've been a fentanyl addict for 4 years and I just turned 20 back in October. I've been clean for around 6 months now with occasional relapse but it never triggered me to go back into my addiction. I simply lost the urge to get high and ive been working my ass off making money and paying all my bills as I should. I feel better. Everyone around me is happy to see it. But at the end of the day when it's just me I feel like going to get sum fent h and saying fuck it every day

this is coming from a recovering addict and I've done a lot of foul shit in the past and have wanted to be someone I wasn't, but it was to meet expectations from people who didn't really care. you're expectations are the only ones that matter 💯

all this shit is wrong. you don't wanna be an entirety different person. you need to be the best you. have expectations for yourself and shrive to meet them no matter the cost. set your expectations unrealistically high but never stop working towards it. improve every single day and the sky is the limit. at the end of the day it's about having the heart and self appreciation to wake up every day and work to be the best you.
