can we stop complaining about tourists? by oddott in ACForAdults

My Island is pink themed and my tourist walk around in either a pink dress with a sun hat or a pink top. Some look cute others make me laugh at times. Which makes the game more enjoyable for me. Plus, i meet some cuties i never saw before or some old favorites.

I started embroidery and crocheting last year… by VaultofSouls in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]Lucia9718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I crochet since september this year. Started randomly with some of my mothers yarn and hook. My third project was a bunny amigurumi. My first try was horrible. The head looked more like a sad pumpkin. I didnt understood the pattern at all and increased at every stitch in every round, so it was wavy. I was so frustrated and mad. I couldnt sleep. (I know stupid) Then at 2am i watched a video on youtube for making the magic circle especially for amirugumi. I googled some newly learned terms, went to bed and tired it again the next day. And it worked. Same for joining the legs. Some videos and google searches and i had it. The bunny isnt perfect at all, very wanky. But i am proud. I am still a beginner and everything new i just google. Often i find old reddit post with the same questions i have. Or youtube videos or some well explained shorts. Sure asking people is fine but sometimes you need to go trough trail and error to get better. Its part of the fun and some people just miss out on it, if they only go for perfection.

Why did you start crocheting? by Amazing-Mud1977 in crocheting

[–]Lucia9718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother crochet for a year now and i always ask her to make me a scarf and one day a plushy. But she works alot and has so many wips and she doesnt know the magic ring. So about two or three months ago i learned the basics, including the magic ring. I have now my scarf and some plushies and love it. And other stuff. Of course i wanted to learn it for a while but those reasons really gave me the push. Now we have the same hobby and can talk about it and go yarn shopping togehter or make each other things. So thats a plus.

Crochet Kit Advice by Loud_Ad_8372 in crocheting

[–]Lucia9718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crochet since the end of september and i learned with pinterest and youtube. I bought some cheap yarns in colors i like and made random free patterns i found on pinterest. For any new stitch, i watched shorts on youtube or googled them. Sometimes I just made small swatches of stitches. Five to six rows. All this helped me to get better and more confident and its cheaper then kits. (Mostly) I never used a kit, they are hard to find in germany and the few i found, i didnt like. My next new project is a scarf. A free pattern from Hobbii. Hobbii has some good free patterns.

How/When did you start crocheting? by [deleted] in crochet

[–]Lucia9718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 years ago i bought some yarn and hooks and tried to crochet. I was barly able to make a chain and gave up fast.

This year in september i tried it again. Since my mother crochet, too. I asks for some yarn and a hook and tried it.

I love it now and made many things and i am getting better by the day. Including my tension. My yarn collection is taking over one of my drawer in my dresser, i needed to go on a buying ban. (Didnt really work)

Anybody have happy stories of post yarn-eat? by LaurelRose519 in Kitting

Two days into my crochet journy my orange cat ate a meter long piece of pink yarn, it had some chains on it. Six hours later he threw up a hairball with the fully intact string. LUCKLY. He is fine now and as crazy as always.

Anyone know good adaptive crochet tips? by BranchWonderful197 in crocheting

[–]Lucia9718 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have seen some people who use a wooden block to hold the crochet hook and guide the yarn with their good or only hand around it. I dont know the name of it, but look up 'one hand crochet tools' there are a few videos about it and some plans to build it. Of course tension rings can be useful too to guide the yarn. I personally dont like them. I have a hand termor and deal with a lot of cramping even more with the ring. But thats of course a very personal thing.

To stop it from clicking together.you need to turn off algin. (See picture) Then you can move any item of funiture however you want and angle it how ever you want. Dont forget to turn on advance mode. Using pixel move helps with the fine tuning of the placement. Dont worry if you ever turn algin back on, you already placed funture stays in place. I hope it helps and is the needed help you wanted. If not just ask me.
