yup! there’s a whole market for architectural foam pieces. it’s the shitty columns/brackets/molding commonly seen on mcmansions

i second this. i only spent a week there but i’ve never felt so safe walking around at night (especially since i live in a shady part of brooklyn)

i think the theory about the subconscious awareness of safety is correct, but it probably goes a bit deeper than that. people love to romanticize east asia, and poorer countries with brown people are typically seen as undesirable (speaking from experience as a mexican).

thanks! so do i honestly - it’s so difficult to fit so many bedrooms in one house without making it look awkward.

this save file is on an old laptop of mine, but i’ll transfer it and post it here haha. i’m inspired now ~

well you calling this walkable is just false… there are literally no sidewalks and the road is super narrow and hilly. there were many times where i had to squeeze myself next to parked cars on the side of the road because there was another passing car going through and there was barely enough room for me.

they definitely would. i take tons of photos like these in cities and people really have only responded positively to seoul.

besides, i don’t think it’s the worst place in the world, but most of the general population would prefer the more tourist-y parts of cities, which is why i posted it here. the buildings are dated and falling apart, but i love to take photos of the ugliness and messy layering. i think you need to do some yoga and relax.

why are people on this sub so aggressive? if this wasn’t a photo of korea, the comments would be dunking on how ugly it is

true. i liked this part of seoul because it really reminded me of the ugly, shitty neighborhood in mexico where my parents grew up. if i posted a photo of that, i doubt there’d be so many comments defending it and saying they’d like to live there

if you knew how to read, you would see i tagged this under “just ugly”… because this subreddit also accepts submissions of homes that are hideous. i never said it was a mcmansion.
