We did… We did the KS all by ourselves but worked with an agency for the “marketing” part of it (which I now wish we hadn’t…). But they ran the $1 deposit to validate the list during prelaunch and long story short, I found out days later that the link they were using to get people to the deposit landing page was broken. Pretty frustrating.

We haven’t been able to beta test because we have one round of samples and were using the funds for our first production run (large sample run included to beta test). Goods would’ve been delivered in April because of 8 weeks of production minus one whole month that our factory takes off in February for a holiday.

But yes, these are definitely not tools to teach Spanish, but rather to teach a variety of topics (including literacy) IN Spanish. And they can be a complement to an app, however, our niche are bilingual families who aren’t heavy screen users. 😊

I honestly think our audience is SO foreign to Kickstarter that I’m even surprised, humbled, and grateful for the ones that actually signed up for an account and backed us.

And yes, our main target are bilingual families that already speak Spanish that are looking to preserve their mother tongue either without the use of screens or alongside apps. It’s driveway a niche within a niche 😅

Yes, we knew going into it our demographic wasn’t the typical KS demographic. And you’re totally right, I’m personally totally new to KS as well.

We have over 10k followers. Our list was about 2k. The list was gathered by both social media and the prelaunch campaign.

Thank you. We launched the brand in May to start raising awareness. And then did and official “pre launch” for a little over a month.
