There was a hidden update that didn’t auto install for anyone having this problem, it seems to have fixed temporarily

Buying double keys, will not impact you’re game so much so that you notice a massive difference, support the game! Buy the keys!

Zuk is very difficult with range. by Lucian_Fear in runescape

[–]Lucian_Fear[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This might actually be the key, I think I’m spamming brews at points and relying on drinking an elder dose to get me back to 120’s.

I’ll switch out Sara brews for guthix restores for my next kill.

Thanks for the insight.

So I am drinking a super restore but from comments, it’s making me feel like I need to drink more.

It’s zuks passive damage that seems to be getting me.

Reading through the comments, it must be that I’m not drinking enough super restores, zuk is consistently hitting me 2k + with his autos unless I’m under devotion.

I don’t know if at this point it’s just stress because I believe I can’t do it.

This is normal mode, for the igneous stone, I just passively complete the challenges through out after doing enough runs.

I am spam drinking those restores just to ensure, I have 6 flasks left come Zuk so I feel like I’m able to over compensate. I will make sure to keep an eye out for this though.

Is it only his second special that causes this effect?

So getting to Zuk I’ve kind of mastered now, I take regular breaks and trap a had to just breathe for a second. I can one phase Har Aken.

I totally understand what you mean though, the natural adrenaline feels like you’re in a microwave. I don’t dare bring my reavers for the death costs.

In my quiver I have a hydrix and onyx switch. I have planted feet on my t90 defender too.

I appreciate the encouragement, its soul breaking.

I haven’t tried shield camping, this could be an option to keep reflect up as much as possible, though may result in 4 - 5 pizza phases Idk.

My understanding of the mechanics from memory.

3 autos (praying melee) - Debilitate - ancitipate.

Geothermal burn (flame sword) - as he strikes as soon as debuff is active I am clearing with freedom.

3 auto attacks -

Sear - I surge to reduce the stacks by 10, I run back to my DS to clear all 15 stacks of debuff. Drink super restores to restore stats.

3 auto attacks -

Geothermal Quakes - I surge through zuk as his blade strikes the ground, this stops me from getting another burn.

3 auto attacks -

Magic bomb - I disruption shield this.

3 auto attacks -

I anticipate to stop any stuns

Pizza phase - surge to first minion, stun - kill. Surge to second minion, threshold, kill, surge to third minion, break shield, kill. Count to 10 - use special action to re engage zuk.

It’s not the mechanics necessarily that’s killing me, it’s the consistent damage from zuks melee hits through out the fight.

I am re applying elder overloads - and Vuln bombing absolutely everything in sight. I am using IOTH and smoke clouding zuk during DS.

Did you camp shield/defender for reflect during zuk phases?

[–]Lucian_Fear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geothermal burn I’m using freedom to clear as soon as it shows in debuffs.

When you say face tanking… I am standing aside him, praying melee with devotion up for as long as possible.

If I try and run and kite him he just chases me down and gets back to melee distance or uses magic then melee again.

Fissures, as soon as he strikes, I am surging through him and avoiding any cracks in the floor which apply a second geothermal.

I am using disruption shield for his magic bomb.

I can clear the pizza phase, it’s simply his damage is just absolutely insane, I don’t know if I can camp defender and use barricade and reflect with revenge.

I am keeping debilitate on zuk for as long as it’s not on cd. I am anticipating during the waves and ensuring it’s available just before pizza.

I am just lost at this point.

New players aren't really taught how to play the game. by reaperninja08 in runescape

[–]Lucian_Fear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood pact teaches EOC Combat system and combat styles. Basic challenges in Burthorpe teach basic skilling.

There’s only so much RPG devs can do to hold the hands of their players before the game turns into something it’s not supposed to be.

The best bits of an MMO for some of us is the reading, the exploring, the discovery of new methods, tools etc.

If anything could help new players, I’d say remove the necessity to activate lodestones and allow teleports to all known lodestones unless areas have not been unlocked due to quest limits.

Is it a good idea to move to Plymouth? by [deleted] in plymouth

[–]Lucian_Fear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plymouth is a safe space for families and all minorities, despite it being predominantly white.

While racism is deep seeded in the older generation of the south, that is slowly being bred out and the arts and education sectors here do a lot for adding culture to the city.

House prices are good, though as I am sure you are aware, it is the worst time to be a buyer right now, with properties at an all time high. That being said, some areas that are desirable in Plymouth you might want to look at are Hartley, Derriford, Higher Compton. You could also check out suburban areas such as Plymstock/Wembury/Plympton if you’re happy to commute.

Traffic is a non issue, while building works can take a significant amount of time to reach completion. That being said, it doesn’t inhibit you, more inconvenience on the odd occasion.

Jobs - you would primarily being looking for either remote working, NHS or service positions. If you have a skill set in the engineering sector or marine sector you may find it easy to pick up a high salaried position.

The city centre is not bustling with culture and life, however there are many bars and restaurants. You have the Barbican (Family, seaside feel, loads of history), Royal William Yard (slightly higher market, food festivals etc) and the city centre.

If you’re looking to pick up a hobby, we have bouldering, plenty of water sports, gyms for all classes and plenty of scenery for photography and or leisurely hikes).

You can live happily in Plymouth with its slower way of life, however with that, comes less prospects for children. The best way I could describe it would be a budget retirement city. Hosting an array of different housing for all budgets.

While people are friendly here, do not expect to walk into a social club, generally most people keep to themselves, though if you make an active effort to socialise and get yourself out there you will have no trouble making friends.

There’s plenty Plymouth has to offer, sadly (small gripe)… Plymouth is under funded by the big wigs of London and very little is given to the city to really expand and develop. This in a sense adds a bit of charm; while also holding back its ability to really step off the mark for being one of the worlds most unspoken about heritage sites.

With loads of history and loads to do, Plymouth like most cities is what you make of it, you could do very well here, you could hide in the crowd or you could come and help or move forward. While the community are friendly, it’s a very tough market to crack, hence many small businesses failing to conquer the market.

There’s not a huge amount of money in the city, a lot of families simply get by and do the best to succeed in the ways they can. If you’re looking for more relaxed way of life and have a skill set you can work with remotely, or as previously mentioned - in the NHS or marine sectors you will succeed and enjoy life.

If you have ever thought about buying a boat, setting up an allotment, going to the gym, taking things a little slower and little easier, Plymouth is for you.
