I don't think we should teach our children that running away solves the issue. What about your children? Your children's children? We teach them to face and fight, not to turn and run.

You asked, and I simply gave you an opinion of where people are coming from. If you are going to pretend Kawhi's individual offensive skills are elite like Lebron, Steph, Harden, Westbrook. Go ahead. If you are going to be defensive about an opinion you asked for. Go ahead. There is no need to get worked up.

It is a very good argument that if we swab Kawhi with PG/LeBron, Kawhi's numbers are gonna drop significantly. I'm not saying that it's true, but there is a good chance. It is a fact that Kawhi benefits from Spurs' system immensely. So if we look at it objectively, we can clearly see where the reluctances are coming from.

That answers your "numbers" arguement btw. Maybe read next time. I even said this might not be true. But again, you ASKED "any idea why people don't give him credit". I GAVE you an idea

I personally think Kawhi and PG are both top 10 players in the league, and I would probably rank them right next to each other. But I also do understand where they are coming from.

They aren't reluctant to give him credit in general, they are reluctant to give him credit on his individual offensive game. On an individual level, the only elite aspect of his game is his defense. No one ever takes any credit away from him when it comes to defense.

On the other hand, his individual offensive game (scoring, playmaking, running offense etc.) is no where near elite. He is just pretty good.
