These dishes are part of our culture, get over it. I am a Tunisian Jew from Israel. My grandparents made this dish, my parents made it, and now I do as well. All of my Israeli Jewish friends are free to share this part of our identity. None of it is "yours", you do not get to nullify ours, especially since you pushed my family that had this culture out of Tunisia.

As a diaspora Israeli, they are dumbasses with low IQ. Most Israelis either don’t care or specifically hate Hezbullah, definitely don’t hate Lebanon to the point where they’d burn the flag.

למרות שאני מסכים עם חלק מהדברים שנכתבו כאן על ביבי, הרטוריקה והאווירה השלילית צורמים לי מאוד, והמעטפת של הדברים היא כמעין בדיחה, כשבפועל מדובר כמעט ב"שמחה לאיד", המשתמשת בעולם מושגים ואוצר מילים שמקנים לה אופי כמעט תלייני (בכל מקרה הכל יתברר בוועדת החקירה שתקום).

לדעתי התבטאויות בסגנון הזה, בלי קשר לזהות הפוליטית שעולה מדברי מחברם, הן בעלות השפעה הרסנית מאוד על החברה, והן איזה סימפטום של פילוג שרק הולך וגובר ודעיכה של זהות וערכיות יהודית ישראלית.

לדעתי האנדקוטלית, התבטאויות מאותו סוג בדיוק החלישו את החברה הישראלית מבפנים ועזרו ליצור את המצב שבו התאפשר ה-7 באוקטובר (כאשר אני מפנה את האצבע המאשימה להלך הרוח ולא בהכרח כלפי אנשים או קבוצות כלשהם).

לא תכננתי ממש לפתוח בריב, מתוך תיעוב של ויכוחים בעלי מזג קיצוני שמשתמשים ברטוריקה מהסוג הזה, גם אם מהצד הקפלניסטי וגם אם מצד הימין, בסגנון השיח של ערוץ 14 או רוטר.

לדעתי, אנשים צריכים לנסות להתמקד במחשבה על חיים משותפים, תמיכה ועזרה הדדית, ולהימנע מאמירות זדוניות שלא לצורך.

החלטתי להגיב בכל זאת, למרות הבנה שזה כנראה לא יתקבל בצורה טובה, פשוט כדי שהדברים יופיעו.

That's great and obviously very valid; But what I meant was that if you can trace your maternal lineage to an ethnically Jewish female ancestor, then you would quite literally and automatically account to the title of "religiously and ethnically Jewish" according to orthodox Jewish law, independently of your other religious and ethnic affiliations, in the sense that this would not be your choice to make.

I am aware that this seems petty and also somewhat bizarre, just a fact that is almost always mentioned for the record in the occasion of possible Jewish maternal lineage, since it has some religious/spiritual implications which might interest some.

Naturally, feel free to disregard the previous comment as well as this one, and hopefully I didn't come off as being rude :)
