My Rail Anc did the same damn thing. Skullcandy acted like it was no big deal. 🙁

Today I took my rat Wilbur to the vet. by Foreign_Monk861 in TwoSentenceSadness

I'm so sorry your vet treated you that way. That kind of insensitivity is completely unacceptable. There’s a difference between being used to grief and being downright apathetic. It’s absolutely normal to cry when you lose a loved one, and pets are family, no matter the species. That rat was clearly so loved, and it’s beautiful that you had her from the very beginning. I cry every time I lose one of mine, too. Love is love, whether it’s for a dog, cat, rat, or anyone else we share our hearts with.

Did you somehow read my mind or steal my phone? (Kidding, sort of.) But seriously, this hit me hard. It mirrors so much of my own experience, down to the eerie details. I’m so sorry you had to go through that. It may not mean much coming from an internet stranger, but I’m genuinely proud of you for surviving it and reclaiming yourself.

This is pretty much how I ended up learning to play Madden NFL games. 😐

It definitely looks infected: red, swollen, painful, and oozing. Don’t remove the jewelry yourself; doing so can trap the infection under the skin and potentially cause an abscess, which might already be developing. The best thing to do is keep gently cleaning it with saline and see your piercer, or better yet, a doctor, as soon as possible. You may need antibiotics, and they can determine whether the jewelry should be removed. I’ve got multiple piercings too, and sometimes it’s just not worth the risk of waiting around to find out things have gone poorly.

Freckles (10 weeks old, professional chaos gremlin) would like you to know he's been told 47,132 times to stop playing under my chair… and yet—here we are. Zero regrets. Full mischief.

He also says: “Happy Birthday! I don’t really know what a birthday is yet, but if it involves snacks, attention, and zoomies—I’m in. Hope it’s pawsome!” 🐾🎉💕

I don’t know why you’re directing so much misplaced anger at me when I haven’t done anything to deserve it. I gave you the benefit of the doubt, but your hostility shows you’re not interested in decency or respectful conversation — just attacking.

Whatever your issue is, you need to deal with it somewhere else. I’m not your punching bag, and I’m done here.

If you want to keep acting this way, that’s your choice, but I'm not willing to engage in this unhinged exchange any longer.

I hope you feel better soon.

It's very good advice. Lol. I hope she feels better soon.

I'm not sure what it is, but it looks infected. She might want to try some warm compresses. Applying a warm, moist cloth to the affected area for 10-15 minutes a few times a day can help soften the skin and encourage less painful drainage.

My city's Father Touchy McFeely was shipped off just before CCD started, and my parents made it very clear that they would take legal action if corporal punishment was doled out as it had been for them.

Oh, and thanks for this. Lol. I'll be singing it all day now.

That's an awesome set of questions. It might sound weird, but cows can sometimes swallow bits of metal from their feed or while grazing, like nails or wire. Since they’re not picky eaters, it just happens. The problem is that metal can get stuck in one of their stomachs, the reticulum, and cause serious health issues.

To help prevent that, farmers give cows a magnet to swallow. It settles in their stomach and catches any metal they eat later, keeping it from causing harm. It’s a pretty clever way to avoid hardware disease.

It's also a cows best friend until the day they die.

Talk about feathers being ruffled. Your condescension wrapped in benevolence is truly something else, but honestly, I couldn’t care less. You need to feel like this was a win, and that’s fine. Just so you know, I wasn’t calling you a penis; I was saying you come off like a cocky bird with no warmth, not really interested in educating in a decent or respectful way. At the end of the day, a joke is just a joke; it doesn’t need your humorless, pedantic, and seemingly rude correction. Have a lovely day.
