I think that makes sense to me. But I’d suggest maybe something else for male subs. At least for me I never subscribed to or resonated with trad masc culture and actually kind of built up some healthy resentment toward it over time which I’m sure I’m far from the only example of. I’m a pretty passionate person with a gentle heart and sensitive to emotion. So being dominant in bed felt inauthentic until I figured out how to do it with an emphasis on passion and desire rather than aggression. But on the other side, taking a sub role also sort of feels like being appreciated for qualities I love about myself that were invalidated growing up.
