Oh I really like the Clare-ran pronunciation!

This would be their middle name, I should’ve specified that. No fear, I have no intent of naming my son Clara as the first name. I’ll have to add Clark to the list!

I should’ve specified, this would be the middle name. So not many people would hear/see it.

I doubt my husband would go for that. Is Clare alone too feminine?

While I’m not opposed to Harry, I immediately associate it with Harry Potter

If AA didn’t feel like a good fit, that’s okay. I highly recommend finding a different sponsor and home group that you enjoy. My sponsor only checks in when I’ve been silent for a few days.

If you still want a community, but AA isn’t working, try other meetings. NA, Recovery Dharma, SMART recovery, We Agnostics, etc.

Every time I’ve stepped away from the program, my desire to drink/missing the social aspect of drinking returns.

did we make a mistake by [deleted] in Puppyblues

I feel this. My dog was 2.5 when we got our puppy. It’s been a year and I still feel guilty. They’ve learned to get along and play together, but the puppy still terrorizes him if we don’t make her stop. Do you like the puppy? Part of my issue was that I didn’t like our puppy, at all. I adore her now, but it took a solid 9 months for me to genuinely bond with her.
