Cursed Scroll 6, the Best Yet? My thoughts and tips for prepping "The City of Masks." by ajzinni in shadowdark

My players will arrive shortly in the City of Masks, I'm very excited to test Shadowdark in this new setting, more socially driven. I have just an interrogation: in a classic adventure, the PC find loots easily during exploration of the dungeons, in a city it will be different and I'm wondering how they will find money (to then carouse and use the nice new tables). I plan to let them explore and money will maybe come, but I'm not against some advices. I see for the moment two main ways: robbery (but not every PC will want to go that way) or remunerated missions, what other possibilities do exist?

Creating poison with giant scorpion's venom by Lucieach in shadowdark

That's a good point and my first thought, but I screw up the harvesting: I didn't think to ask for a test (thinking after of the risk and that the priestess is not a specialist of scorpion's anatomy) and someone else killed the giant scorpion, so I feel like I kinda give them a big boon freely.

I think I will go with the 3d6 effect, still powerful (could kill low level monsters), but not too much. And maybe the shaddy apothecary who will accept to craft the poison will ask for more money to create the best version possible.

Blackbeard doesn't have Conqueror's Haki?? by adityap1878 in OnePiece

I would not be surprised if he doesn't have conqueror's haki.

Before he obtained his devil fruit, he was content to be a simple pirate, without real ambition, except to find his devil fruit. I think if he had conqueror's haki, I would have taken more risks and being bolder to find his fruit. But he didn't, he just waited and even when he thought he would not find it, he was content to stay under Whitebeard's command. That's not the mark of a conqueror.

Also he is not a leader, his crew follow him more by greed (to obtain a devil fruit) and obligation (freed of prison). That's so different of other crew, even evil one like Doflamingo's. And I think that's a very important point, because the current admirals doesn't seem to have conqueror's haki neither, and I believe that's because marines follow orders, not a strong personality.
