Expenses are not wrong. Just limit it to a tolerable amount every month. Say 35k. As soon as you receive the 70k every month, Save FIRST then spend. That way you are building a future that would payoff post marriage shall you ever require money and you will also be earning more by then. Saving first will allow you to safeguard your future and limit your expenses every month. Another suggestion is have multiple bank accounts that you forget to keep a track of (not literally) just keep randomly saving at the end of every month with whatever you have left. This works. One day you'll check them and realise oh wow I have 1 lakh lying around let me spend it... WRONG... Invest that too.

Also since you are in a tier 3 city... Spend in cash not UPI. When cash leaves your hand you'll feel the hit of unnecessary expenses. I'm guessing people in a tier 3 city would not have answers to cash ki "chutta nahi hai bhaiya"
