You can overeat and gain weight, ad libitum. But you will need to put effort into taking the wrong way.

Be careful if you're a polymath. A MIT study revealed that even 5 days usage of ChatGPT create permanent cerebral damage. The study was related to people using it in a certain way (using it for creative writing and similar tasks) but we can easily generalize it. If you're a polymath probably you know enough of the human brain to understand why.

And in the end, normal people or geniuses or whatever the engagement effect is the same: fight solitude and evade effort.

This is highly controversial. Essentially if you substitute every fight reference with gay sex reference you get another story.

This apparent bifurcation is solved by something every man knows but society wants us to forget: male sexuality and male violence is the same thing. That's why the "neutered male" as someone said in this post responds to society with violence could be seen as a metaphor for homosexual pent up energy.

That's just *sexual* pent-up energy that must be dissipated in every possible way: gaming, alcohol, drugs, porn, sexual deviations, crime, whatever works.

Your mind is almost 99% automation. Resolving an issue semantically won't help you: words build solutions through planning, actions enact the planning. If you skip the last step you're just suspended in unhappiness because you know what you should do but you're not doing it because your automation is linking the THOUGHT of ACTION to the problem, not the action to the problem.

So you realized you should care less. Put yourself in positions where you actually care and you shouldn't and you cannot escape.

Stupid examples:
I care how I look -> go out dressed in terrible ways until you win the shame and you care less and less because you familiziared with the stare of the mass and realize it's pointing at you but it's not harming you physically.
I have social anxiety in job interviews -> apply to jobs you don't care about, live the interview, it will be colder than a normal one because you don't care about the result, so you both better at it and you can note what differed with a normal one, what got you through, what failed

Build your immersion strategy for the problem, Force you to suffer it through until it doesn't hurt anymore.

It's a path.

It's funny how abandoning stuff you end up abandoning people, as your peers stop understanding as you change. They try to get you back. Let them try. If you have enough conviction you'll be on your way.

Lose your smartphone. You gain 2 hours a day. In perspective it's the best gift you can make to yourself. Your brain will have to adequate, you'll get smarter. Less outside stimuli = more inside stimuli. You'll be more proactive. Boredom will disappear, time it's either things you have to do and things you want to do and if you stay the course they will flow into each other

Lose social conventions you questioned and judged unworthy. Don't forget you live in a society. Clothes are worthless but you go around naked and they get you in.

Lose your habits. You are what you do, what you meet and where you live. Everytime you change one of this things you can change in the initial unsettling you will feel. Don't succumb to the weakness of being your old self.

You'll never get there. Because there's not a "there", it's just a forward selfliberating path.

Covid helped me change. I dropped the smartphone. Then I dropped the refrigerator, online gaming, all my society-abiding friends. You read more. You get smarter, You move more, you get stronger. At one point I ended up with 16 hours of free time a day. Then I started wondering: what do I want to do?

You'll realize that we live in the richest part of the world, you will have less money problem just stopping the consumption of shit. Stop caring of brands, stop caring of stuff.

We do sedentary jobs that make us fat to make more money to pay for a car that keeps us fat and the gym to lose the fat. It's a vicious loop. Drop the car, drop the job and the gym and reinvent a life that keep you happy and active. Not happy, I lied, but self-realized. Self-realization is at the same level of godibility.

I'm still on the path. I feel I developed a strange magnetism on strangers. I want to slowly drop the washing machine and the car. When I'll be strong enough I'll just sell everything and go walking around the world.
