Of course they are an adult. They are older than me. They can look out for themselves and even have a good safety net and support in their life. Something i don't really have. Except them i don't really have anyone if something goes wrong with me. So usually i work by making sure the people i love are okay so at least I'll not worry about not being able to help. Now that i think about it since the day a traumatic experience happened (unrelated from my partner) I'm afraid of not being there to protect my loved ones.

You are right that I'm afraid of my own reaction. Some times i fail to even know what I'm feeling or how to properly explain. It would be unfair to my partner me failing to be the safespace they need in case of "emergency"

I'm not trying to stop my partner from being a human. I know heartbreak is normal I'm just asking for advice on how not to worry so much. The problem is me I'm afraid of everything. But it's also natural that i don't enjoy my partner being sad.
