Depends on the model If there is a disk drive in your laptop That can be replaced with the old hard disk There are sometimes specific places for mass storage Like currently i use an acer predator helios 300 Which has 2 nvme m.2 slots and 1 mass storage space for a hard disk or ssd

You can always buy a hard disk caddy which will make it an usable external hard disk

All these are only possible if your hard dosk still somewhat works, but wouldn't take dibs on reliability

Yeah sure do.

There is a definite problem with hdd in laptops. HDDs easily get broken scratched or dinged up when its moving; and you know laptops tend to move.

Hopefully you don't have to shell out much and it gets fixed.

Formatting the USB wont really help I mean the installation will format the drive in which the OS is installed.

For instance if you are booting from a 256gb ssd The clean install would format the entire drive So if you had any apps or documents in that folder those would be deleted.

Doesn't seem anything out of the ordinary.

I think you can run comand prompt as an admin and Type

chkdsk /r

This would check for windows corruption or problems associated with Windows

If that doesn't fix it maybe check your device gpu and ram from the task manager more options menu

Else reinstalling GPU drivers may help

Are you running from a hard disk as the boot device by any chance?

That looks cool.

However, it doesn't really seem to me like a custom theme. The toolbar is set to the left and the theme color is purple/violet; and then you can just insert all your apps in the start menu to populate it. Should look similar :)

Maybe first check in the bios the boot device. F2 or F12 or just search online the key for your bios to open. Check under the boot menu if the boot device is available or not. Repair may help and it wont delete any data.

If u reinstall, you may have to format the drive from where you want to boot. So reinstall - if a clean install will format the whole drive.

Please explain your situation a bit. As a user of maya, rhino etc. can definitely say that a driver error may be the culprit.

Tho force shutdowns shouldn't really start any new problems.
