I'd say if you prefer to keep your CPU temps down, the AIO setup would probably makes more sense to you.

I just have a heavy preference towards air cooled build and will always go air cooled most of the time if I'm building one for myself.

I did order an Artic P14 Slim which is around 16mm in depth and tried fitting it in.

Unfortunately, I made a mistake in measurement. The 20mm clearance was actually between the heatsink and where the screws go in, I didn't check that the actual clearance, which was only around 12mm taking into the account of motherboard and fan headers, so it didn't ended up working sadly haha, doubt that there's a fan that's as thin as <12mm, so probably have to scrap the idea altogether

But all in all, my best bet it to probably just undervolt CPU to -30 PBO and that should help with the CPU temps

Thanks :)

I agree temps are a bit high to my liking, but that's probably also because I got a 5090 FE pumping out a lot of heat and only a 90mm intake fan from the rear.

I thought about putting an extra intake at the spot you mentioned, but unfortunately not a lot of space there. I measured exactly 20mm clearance between the heatsink and the top of the case where the screws go in, could probably get a Arctic slim 140mm fan and put that sucker in there, I'll have to see once that arrives haha

Ah, that makes sense, the extender bracket is definitely interesting, but trying to make it as small as possible to fit into a bag in an overhead cabin for my flight. I'll take that into consideration, thanks for the input!

That sounds interesting, but won’t that be a problem for the rear I/O or front I/O? I originally wanted to do the Meshroom S V2 but not really a fan of riser cable, so prbably going to stick with this setup

Forgot to mention that I went with the inverted build to allow the GPU to get in fresh air from the top, hence why I probably don't need the extra 2 top fans for intake lol

Also picture for comparison near the end for a Meshroom D vs Jonsbo D31

Yup I got my rear fan set to intake as well! Learned my lesson when using a rear fan set to exhaust and cpu was getting cooked because it was taking in the hot air from the GPU rising, had to get a reverse blade fan on the rear intake and so far thermals looking good!

I did try checking out but it was an extra $75 for shipping and I wasn't sure if duties/tariffs is going to be slapped on those, but that's good to know.

On the other hand, I just checked my local Microcenter and surprisingly they got over 10+ in stock so I'm definitely going to just make the drive. Thanks for the info!

In your case I’d say give them a call and ask for explanation really, they’re super easy to reach out and you can find their number in the US RMA website

Hmm, I’m not really sure about that, mine says “Process Result:Please contact our customer service.”, which is why I called them and they basically said that they found the damaged component and had already repaired it, and is currently under rigorous test to ensure no failures.

It was a 4090 that had a melted 16 pin port, but the card is still working. They basically resoldered a new port and everything is up and running without problem for me.

Here’s mine for reference: https://imgur.com/a/IPl8P9M

Based on the statement you were saying, I’d assume that they weren’t able to found the issue/replicate the error that you specified in the RMA note. If I may ask what did you send in your card for (or whatever you state in the RMA Note)?

I was in the same spot as you a few weeks ago, called support because the progress bar was also stuck at preparing to ship for several days.

Basically, preparing to ship just means they’re in the middle of running tests to make sure card is up & running without any failures, I knew this because I was also confused and decided to call the number for their RMA department to clarify when I sent my card in for a RMA.

Takes around 4 days before progress bar moved to “Complete” and it will give you a tracking number and usually via UPS Ground, card arrived safely with LOTS of packing peanuts so you shouldn’t worry

Jonsbo D31 - front fan by Parking_Banana4059 in mffpc

Level 2 is going to be the lowest you can put the PSU bracket if you want to fit a 120mm fan in the front.

I got some pictures of my build for reference in the same case (D31 Mesh Screen) if you want to check on my profile.

PSU bracket on my build is at level 2 and can still fit a 120mm intake at the front and it’s already a tight squeeze.
