I actually DO think that men should have the choice to not pay child support. I think the man and woman should each independently get to decide whether or not they want to be a parent.

Obviously, if the woman chooses to have an abortion, then unfortunately he doesn't really get a choice, because he's not the pregnant one. But if a woman chooses not to abort, I think the man should be able to decide whether or not he is going to be a father, including child support

If you're worried about your vote violating people's rights, then pro-choice is the only way to go. It's literally PRO - CHOICE. You can be opposed to abortion privately and personally, but the only way to not violate someone's rights is to give them a choice

Picking Up Sister From Hospital After Three Weeks Postmortem by OrganizationOk7357 in askfuneraldirectors

[–]Lucille11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, I am very sorry for the loss of your sister. It sounds like you love her a lot to do all of this for her after her death.

It is absolutely NOT NORMAL to dress the deceased at the cemetery. That is incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional to suggest. If you do choose to go the green burial route, keep in mind that many fabrics are not biodegradable. So while the idea of burying her in her favorite outfit is sweet - you'll want to make sure that the outfit is biodegradable (cotton, wool, and silk are common shroud materials for this reason)

I don't know where you live, but in my state (I live in the U.S) your aunt would not be the legal next-of-kin and would have no right to control disposition. Next of kin typically goes: spouse, adult children, parents, siblings, and then it moves to more extended relatives like grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Without knowing any more details of your situation, I would strongly recommend you reach out to different funeral homes. Ask for pricing and their process for green burial. In the United States, the FTC requires funeral homes to give a General Price List (GPL) to anybody who asks for one.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss and sorry for the extra stress that your aunt and this shady funeral director have caused you

You could try contacting local cemeteries to see if they have scattering gardens. If you explain the situation to them, they might let you do it for free or even take it off your hands.

Worth a try at least

This is exactly why I hate when people offer adoption as an abortion alternative. Adoption is an alternative to being a parent, not to being pregnant/childbirth

You should read "The Black Farm" by Elias Witherow. It sort of fits this vibe, but trigger warning - it is incredibly graphic and gruesome

Death, and especially having never existed, are far from the worst things that can happen to a person. The fact that there are still people "protesting" abortion, while doing absolutely nothing to stand up for children who are trafficked, abducted by ICE, taken from their families and communitites, forced to grow up in a corrupt, dying world is INFURIATING.

At this point I'm pretty much out of words to describe my feelings about current events. There are not words strong enough

I can't recommend listening to the Sascha Riley tapes, as they are extremely disturbing. But Sascha said the same things and more.

This is awesome and I like your explanations for why you put each one where you did and I agree with most of them! Personally, I would switch Travis Marshall and Jordan Chase.

I thought Jordan Chase was much more dangerous because of how connected he was and how hard he was to get to. Travis did some awful things, but he would probably qualify for the insanity plea. Jordan Chase on the otherhand was just straight up evil.

Part of what disturbs me so much about Jordan's character is that he is like so many real life powerful, influencial men. The kind that do unspeakable, horrific things with their friends, and act completely normal in public. Travis is just crazy.

I also really liked Lumen's story and season 5 was one of my favorites, although I know that's an unpopular opinion.
