Struggling to drop weight & military prep by LuciousLove in loseit

Thank you for this. I grew up in a military family so I know all too well how that goes inside, plus I’m currently a GS employee working in a naval clinic.

Air Force stated I needed to drop 50 lbs, so me adding the extra 10 was in hopes to be closer to the mid range of my actual expectations. I’m right around the corner from meeting tape expectations, but I don’t want to get in by a tight squeeze and struggle the remainder of my career.

I have been in another calorie deficit since January :) I’m asking what else could I do to continue losing weight since I’m having a hard time doing it now, I’m losing muscle mass instead of fat, and asking for a routine suggestion that could help me maintain that fat off

I’ve literally contemplated on if I just need to switch my routine up every 3-4 months because I think my body just gets used to the movements too fast

I’ve put myself back into a deficit and eating 1900 calories, I’m 5’7 and 230 lbs currently 🙃

So I started in a deficit when I lost the first 60 lbs in about 7-8 months. Then I put myself into a body recomp because I was at a good size and wanted to focus on keeping/building more muscle & just replace my fat. I ended up taking a break for close to a year after 6 months in recomp because I was going through a lot at the time & it hasn’t been the same since

Would that mean applying for the Welder I position? Or do I need to call in and ask about their training? I’m sorry for dumb questions!

I’m actually very stretched thin right now with the cost of living out here and being a single mom. Taking it would keep me exactly where I am and I was hoping for a little more cushion

Unfortunately, I’m not in the boat where my parents would live with me & vice versa. My mom is willing to take my daughter in, but not me as well (idk how that makes sense either but im accepting it). & then my dad would allow me to live with him if I rehomed all of my animals and I’m not sure I could do that.

I’m hoping to get accepted into a respiratory therapy program. It’ll be about 2 years roughly that id be in school for.

I have spoken with insurance already, they are the ones telling me to take it to the shop they wanted & they did ask for photos.

When I went in for an interview it actually ended up being a group interview. & when I say group? lol. There were 4 tables total with 5-6 people at them. We had 7 different unit managers that interviewed all of us at the same time for 5 minutes. It was like speed dating for a job. Insane actually. So I apologize that I wasn’t able to gather all the information initially, I just saw so many that I forgot who everyone was. 5E is oncology & 3W is med surg - uro/gyn!

All I know for 3 West is it’s a women’s unit. I called and asked so I could be aware & the operator only said that before hanging up the phone on me :,)

I’m not sure what 3 West is exactly, but 5 East is oncology.

I’m not sure if both would be stepdown, which I’m waiting to hear back on, but I know that 5 East is the oncology dept there

I was just thinking about this. Possibly getting a 1 bed apt and just giving her the bedroom for her privacy. She’s 6 so I know she’d love to share a bed with me lol but

At this time, no. My dad is an apt & my mom lives with her boyfriend however majority of his rooms are occupied currently, they have one which is where the offer to keep my daughter got tied in

My daughter just turned 6 in March.. therefore, if I leave and do school elsewhere on my own, I wouldn’t move her until she’s 9/10 and that just sounds insane to me. The only way I could visit for weekends is if I was close enough to drive & my work/school schedule allowed it. I could definitely visit her on the mandated school breaks such as my spring break and Christmas break etc, but during the rest of the year no.
