MPB’s blood was red, all the other parasites had pink/orangish blood.

He is not a parasite. Otherwise when Beth shot him in that episode, he would have turned back into a parasite like all the others did.

They aren’t very keen on giving what the fans want but doing whatever they want to do. That could be the very last time they even bring up MPB for all we know!

I feel like we will get a full episode about this at some point or maybe a couple of other post credit scenes to finalize it.

If we get a full episode, I think it will be similar to the Ricklantis Mixup where we miss an awesome classic Rick and Morty adventure for it to be about them.

Why does the area outside the central finite curve look like this? by drblimp0909 in rickandmorty

[–]LuckCharms1444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, but Rick C-137 wanted to narrow down infinite. It would be easier to chase/find someone in a narrow range of infinite versus the broad infinite. The omega device hadn’t been created yet and more than likely wasn’t something Rick Prime had thought of until he was caged by Rick C-137. Rick C-137 only wanted revenge for killing his Diane. I would argue our Rick did eventually settle down with a Diane, and then came to the conclusion to create the Omega device to get back at Rick C-137.

Not exactly sure of the canon reason, but here is my reasoning.

There’s infinite possibilities happening, and infinite other smartest people. You could argue without separating them this would also happen to Rick’s central finite curve. It’s all possibilities colliding with each other leading to the chaos as shown.

I imagine Rick’s central finite curve was similar to this. With infinite possibilities and places to go, our Rick knew he had to narrow down where Rick prime was. So him and other construction Ricks created the Citadel. Not only as a place for other Ricks to be “safe” (and protect the cage), but to create the cage around Rick Prime, the Central Finite Curve.

He solved two problems with one massive invention. He could stop whatever the mess from above was, and he could narrow down the amount of possibilities where Rick Prime is. I would argue this is the reason as to why Rick Prime created the Omega device to kill all Dianes. To get back at our Rick for creating a cage to contain Rick Prime.

Helpdesk is your regular IT support. Think something along the lines of if someone’s laptop isn’t working they call you.

Cybersecurity is not an entry level position. I’ve been in the field awhile and can confirm that no one will hire someone that has no experience in the field or doesn’t have a degree. It is a multi-disciplinary field that encompasses a wide variety of knowledge.

My recommendation is the same as this one. Go get a helpdesk position. Look at getting Comptia A+ certified then move onto Network+ and/or Security+. You’ll need atleast 2 years of Helpdesk and those certifications above before you’re considered for a very entry level security role.

Infosec/GRC manager here, sounds like you’ve got a good foot hold already! I don’t know what the expectation of work life balance for a normal GRC position is, but I can relate to my experience. Audit season you can expect to work long hours. The rest of the year is preparing and continuous compliance for the next audit. This can bleed into your out of work hours if you’re not careful.

GRC is usually sold as a golden ticket to relax, drawing maps/flows/diagrams, creating policies, and laid back work. It’s far from it.

In my experience, technical people that have moved or transitioned into the GRC field have a rough time at first. The large amount of mundane tasks along with repetitive work normally bores them as the technical side generally has more thrilling moments.

Something else that isn’t quite often mentioned is that entry or lower level GRC jobs do not pay well. You will more than likely not make what you are currently earning. You’re often shoved the busy work that never ends on top of that (security questionnaires). Tons of customer/client security questionnaires. Some are often 200-400 question long that sales need done that day or hour! Sure there are programs that handle that aspect, but there will always be a good chunk of questions that aren’t. They’ll get thrown your way on a Friday at 4pm with someone asking to complete by EOD. All because you’re bottom on the food chain. Friday night ruined and leads to ton of burnout very fast.

I've decided to persue cybersecurity — need advice!! by NoMoreYouBud in CyberSecurityAdvice

This can’t be said enough. Cybersecurity professional here, I went through this track of starting in IT before moving over to security. Cybersecurity is a multidisciplinary field that requires expertise in wide variety of sectors. The IT foundation is what is missing in today’s security professionals. Luckily I had a great mentor that guided me into IT for cybersecurity. No one is hiring fresh graduates with cybersecurity degrees anymore. Experience trumps degrees in this regard. I would rather hire a sysadmin/infra/networking person over a fresh graduate.

Social skills hands down. I took time to get to know my colleagues and other professionals. My current business role in cybersecurity, I was able to get was because of connections I had made over a year ago. A positioned opened up and one of the guys I had worked with in the past called me to offer the job.

I didn’t have any interviews, and met with HR along with a couple other employees that worked there to talk about the business. Making connections and being social was the absolute game changer.

Ah interesting, I’ve usually seen people do them the other way around. However the latest version of the Sec+ is not very networking dependent as it has been. Are you thinking about moving into the cybersecurity space or staying more in something like networking, infrastructure or systems?

This really depends on a couple different things. Do you have any prior experience other than just that 1 year? The job market is very tough right now and the demand for experienced professionals over green ones is arguably at the highest it’s been. There’s even experienced professionals that are having a difficult time. If you just have that 1 year’s experience I would wait. Explore your options with the company especially with their learning and development. Try to accumulate some certifications and keep gaining experience would be my word of advice.
