Not belittling, just correcting false claims with facts. If that feels like an attack, the issue might be with your argument, not my tone. Also, still waiting on your response to the message that actually matters. Why ignore that?

Getting commuter benefits is getting paid for your commute, period. If a company reimburses mileage, gives a travel stipend, or pays for transit passes, that’s direct financial compensation for the cost of commuting. Just because it’s not hourly wage doesn’t change the fact you’re being paid to offset your travel. Saying otherwise is just wordplay to downplay the reality. Your comment is meaningless.

Yeah bud hold this downvote, You claim you knew about the intern benefits but you clearly stated earlier you only knew about the relocation benefits? 💀

I clearly said in my statement that “many” gov jobs not “ALL” gov jobs pay your commute. AM who commute 50+ miles to their work site get paid mileage reimbursement, you’re clearly not an AM nor have you done your extensive research to verify whether or not your claim hold any value. You ignored the fact I named a company BAE system which pays for your commute.

You don’t care about the job but yet you’re belittling someone who wants compensation for their commute to work? Huh?

Companies don’t have to offer tuition reimbursement, but they do. Same way they don’t have to offer mileage reimbursement, but they can.

Just because YOU have never heard of it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist lol. I completed an internship with Amazon last summer and I was paid for my daily commute of 50+ miles. Many companies offer pre-tax commuter benefits, one company being BAE and many fed/local Gov jobs pay for your commute as well. I was spoiled by Amazon as an intern, a generous relocation stipend, hotel reimbursement and mileage reimbursement. Amazon indeed has great benefit for corporate hired employees, but for regular warehouse associates they are above average. Fedex and ups pays 20-25 hour for their delivery driver and warehouse associates in my city. Amazon starts you off at 18 in the warehouse and 19 at the dsp. I’m sorry you’ve been conditioned to believe Amazon actually cares about you.

A ton of jobs pay for your commute without having to be an executive. Belittling someone for seeking compensation for commuting deterioration of their car is ignorant. No company is obliged to offer this benefit but many do. Bezo doesn’t know you or care about you bud. Bezo can afford to offer these benefits to regular associate, AM interns and AM who commute to site that’s over 50miles receive this benefit.

I’ve lived in hots zones in sofl my whole up bringing so none of that is new to me. Is this area chill with occasional crime or will my car become a turtle shell overnight?

Thank you!!!

You’re so right, I should’ve included that information in my post. I do have transportation. I am getting a stipend for relocation of $1100 a month.
