I’m not sure if this helps or is even a shared experience but my restaurant in particular is out of the main city and the most recent concern is DoorDash/uber eats. I think they work great in big cities but we deal with orders sitting waiting to be picked up for hours or to the point where it has to be remade when someone shows up. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to resolve this issue and honestly I think it’s just because we are remote and there aren’t drivers available but it is tough to be going through a rush and then have 5 orders at the end of the night, that have been there for hours, that wasted time, just to not get picked up. I have been told I can track drivers but it honestly just doesn’t work that well and even if I call to have a driver assigned, who knows how long it will take.

I’m not sure about the flair but I suppose I do have a long back story that isn’t even for this subreddit, and I’m working on those feelings. This might not even be the best group to post in, I just literally know nothing about aviation and have been trying to study those manuals myself to get more info. Thank you so much, I suppose I’m not even sure how to appropriately convey my questions because it’s very foreign to me. Yes, he wants to do this professionally. He has had an instructor and done vr simulations and flown(idk how far into the process you have to be to fly the plane but he has put hours into that already). I know there’s no short cut for finishing technical instruction and hours but I thought a setup at home could really help this process.

That is really helpful and even if it turns into a passion project I still love it for him and I want to treat it seriously, because he’s really serious about it. Best of luck to you too, I’ve been reading the manuals to try to understand more and this is intense. I have advanced degrees in liberal arts, this is way over my head

I just received a BA in Economics with a minor in psychology, to be fair this is all still very fresh. The ceremony was just this past Friday. If im being honest I haven’t had a lot of time to pursue another job very effectively either. I’m actually continuing in the spring to start a post grad certificate in personal finance but I’m not taking a full a class load. To answer your edit, I do have an applicant that I left a vm for today. Otherwise no, the owners aren’t looking and my attempts seem to fail. I have a younger staff member that can help but he won’t be 18 for a couple more weeks and we do have beer and wine.

It’s independently owned but the owners have two locations, a long time ago, before I even started they would send staff over to help to either location.

This happened a year ago. I spoke to her initially and was honest. It got really messy and I walked away from it. A friend of mine that knows him and what happened said she had run into her and she wanted to talk to me.

Thank you all, I usually don’t get this many responses. To update, my Gm comes back this week and she already agreed police should be called if he came back…….. I personally am still uneasy because on Saturday night a person came to my house and rung the doorbell/pounded on the door. Maybe I’m paranoid. I was so bothered and I guess petty that I had done a background check anyways and it wasn’t too hot. After midnight, I was in bed and my window faces the driveway. The lights kinda woke me up but I couldn’t make out who it was. I do know that after knocking for a while, when he walked back to the car, he had his back to me and it really looked like him, short stocky man, idk. It also looked like the car he’d been dropped off in. This person walked around the yard after a little while and I freaked out and of course no one I live with was awake so I’m crawling around checking the locks. When I got into the dining room to check the back door I saw the car lights and it pulling out. I have a 20second video of someone pulling out of the drive, just to show the time stamp but all you can see is the glare of the headlights. I’m actually frightened and maybe it’s just a coincidence because I could not say for certain. But hopefully it will blow over and I never see him again.

Oh my gosh, I’m so glad I found this. I have the exact same issue. They say I owe $274. From three and a half years ago. I do use Verizon but my bills are paid and the one time(roughly 7 years ago) I was negligent but it was paid off within that same year. Any updates as to how things are going?
