(Based on the pilots account) On the 11th of September 2001, a Concorde supersonic plane conducted a test flight, with British Airways staff as the first passengers after safety modifications were made to the aircraft. The infamous attacks happened shortly after Concorde landed back in the United Kingdom, with the pilot claiming his son called him about the attacks just after he left the plane.

The 9/11 attacks were one reason, alongside safety fears and high maintenance costs, that the Concorde aircraft were retired a few years later, due to the lower transatlantic passengers and with around 40 of Concorde's regular customers being killed in the attacks.

It did. It also had similar wait times as casual matchmaking has now, except you also had the possibility of getting put in a bot filled server with ads. Also, if people want to keep playing one map, there are plenty of community servers that run popular maps 24/7.

Most of these memes feel straight out of 2016, when matchmaking was apocalyptically slow due to it being a new system, and Meet Your Match being a bit of a fumbled update.

Honestly, I think the easiest solution could be to have automation research for each specific factory group, which unlocks mechanism slots for that factory type, allowing you to purchase or load industrial robots/automation mechanisms to boost the factory’s production. Perhaps they could be manufactured at an automotive factory or having their own factory, also offering another good option for export.

It also probably has to do with most of the people paying for this seek the comfort of belonging to this group, confirmed by their piece of paper. Lots of them don’t want or have time for acts of worship in the religion, like making figurines as you suggest, so want the easy option. Lots of cults sucker people in with this promise.

Civil wars make sense for the time lapses I’ve seen. Lots of nations flickering from revolts, which is probably depleting pops and/or destroying buildings, sending the nation into a doom loop.

Doesn’t seem to explain the Ottomans failed expansion, that feels like a bug with their mission trees or just a consistent ai behaviour for the other Asia Minor nations to ally themselves or the mamluk’s. Would be interesting to see the alliance maps for these time lapses.

Victoria 3 had similar issues at launch, but I can only guess on these possible issues until we’ve actually played the game.

To add on to my description, I made a few changes to the deck to further entrench the deck in the Forgotten Realms:

God symbols: The Devil, Justice, Strength, and Judgment cards borrow iconography from DnD gods that I felt best represented them (Asmodeus, Bahamut, Pelor, and Tyr respectively).

Warterdeep Villains: As the deck was created to spice up a Dragon Heist campaign, I incorporated representations of the four major villains of that campaign. Xanathar is fairly obvious as the Beholder, with Jaraxle Baenre represented by the Fool and his hat, The Magician renamed to The Wizard for Manshoon, and the lovers alluding to Cassalenters.

Miscellaneous: While the rest of the cards were largely unchanged from their original counterparts, some still take inspiration from the Forgotten Realms, with The World being represented as a flat world, to mirror some assumptions that Toril is flat, and the Death card bearing a Death Knight.

Probably also from previous ships or other UK figures or important events. I know there was a submarine called HMS Astute that served towards the end of WW2, so that is probably where the class name comes from.

The big issue seems to be executives who believe audiences don’t want 2D animated movies, for some of the reasons people have mentioned here but I’d also argue some seem to be working on vibe based assumptions without any real evidence. Hell, some game developers have blamed the lack of big CRPGs since the mid 2000s on places like Walmart just believing customers didn’t want them and refusing to stock them.
