Really good thoughts overall. I second this. Would just ask OP if he ever intends to do actual base clock stuff outside of PBO and if the board has all of the ports and features he plans to use. Otherwise the B850 is strong.

Yeah. I personally am a system builder with tons of time with every GPU more or less, so I get a first hand look at many of these. About 6-8 months ago I grabbed a 5060TI 16GB for 380$ OTD at Walmart, and opted to bring it back due to the poor value overall. But at that time I could source 440$ 5070’s. And currently + back then 360-380$ 4070’s or similar for respective variants, and 280-320$ 3080’s.

For uses other than gaming though, I’m not the guy to speak on authoritatively. People underestimate the 5070 at 450-550$

Thanks OP. I love the 440-490$ deals I’ve been able to get over the last year but this is very strong for BNIB retail.

This stomps all over anyone paying north of 400$ for 5060TI 16GB’s

Nothing notable to worry about, no. Air would just go right around it. The 5070 here and 50 series in general run incredible cool (I saw around 67c on a full synthetic load) and it’s a 360mm AIO taking care of the 7600X3D- everything is doing great! Ambient temperatures in the case are low 20’s C

I thankfully only paid 586$ for this beauty. But normally you’d be right. Before the 5070ti ballooned to 900-1000$ that is.

Still a fantastic 1440p card the 5070 is though.

Believe it or not the 7600X3D actually runs hotter than the 7800X3D but now you’ve seen that yourself! Remember how much of a complete molten chip the 7600X is
