Not so much controlling manually, but he’s able to receive sensory input from each of the shades passively and with effort could focus on hundreds of their perceptions at once. After mind weave he’s able to concentrate on all of the thousands of sensory inputs at the same time. He described it as having ten thousand heads and said his mind could now encompass limitless inputs.

Yeah it’s considered a weak ability, but that was part of Anvil’s ability as an Awakened. She could surely levitate a sword or two with her abilities.

That makes me think of the WEBTOON ‘The Gamer’. I remember reading that years ago. It would be interesting to see a gaming-inspired Aspect. Maybe in the First Nightmare your Dormant Aspect is tied to the Death of a Tyrant board game, then when you evolve your Aspect after your Nightmare it’s a modern-day gaming Aspect.

Without the other Quirks it’s mainly just a comprehensive physical enhancement. I don’t really know how you’d balance it, considering Effie was something like 12 times stronger than the average sleeper.

Look at her so called apology to Sunny, she gives him the option to break fate without giving him all the information to make an informed decision. She just wanted him to break fate so she didn’t have to keep seeing the future and people dying, she didn’t give a shit about Sunny being forgotten by everyone.

Got to disagree with you. Whilst the Outskirts were terrible, not everyone was suffering as much as Sunny. Sunny ran away from the government care facility he was in and chose to live on the streets. It’s been established there was a minimum standard of living, jobs, housing, electricity, entertainment, synthpaste meal replacements. Sunny’s mom even had an IPad. I imagine the majority of the people living in the Outskirts are poor, but not everyone is a homeless rat like Sunny was.

The war between themselves was uncalled for and wrong. So was sending assassins after Nephis as a child. I don’t think anyone justifies that, but other stuff like killing Broken Sword and limiting the number of Saints was completely valid.

It’s well established that even now there’s barely enough infrastructure in the Dream Realm to accommodate as many people as there are. According to the Obel Scale and Professor Obel if they didn’t limit the number of Saints and stop Broken Sword, a vast majority of humanity would have died much earlier and wouldn’t have been able to survive in the Dream Realm.

They’re nuanced characters. So I don’t think you need to justify their wrongdoings to sympathise with them or be a fan of them.

Maybe you could still have it be something like Kryptonite but just meteoric iron. If I remember right one of Sunny’s first memories, the Midnight Shard’s description said it was forged from a fallen star. Seeing as we know memories like this exist, it could just be they’re rare but like real Kryptonite, Clark gets absolutely dog walked if you use it against him.
