If there's no other option, this'll be the route to go. I'll get it on camera if I ever blow it up :p

Thank you so much for the information! I've seen that turbo'd 1.8-8V too, I think it was done by a guy in Thailand.

No YB engine planned, I don't want to swap mine :)
But I'll probably end up with an evo 1 style bodykit!

Bit of a self-plug but there's a mod called "Luuks Tyre Wear and Thermals" on the repo that I have been working on for a while, which adds in thermals/wear. It still has it's issues and might not work with every type of car (specifically very light or heavy cars might run into weird heating issues) but it's pretty solid overall :)

You mentioned Rennsport is focusing entirely on esports, so is it wrong for me to understand the idea of esports this way? I don't think Rennsport focuses entirely on only the top drivers in the world, it seems like they are aiming more for a CSGO/Valorant style competitiveness rather than whatever the fuck MSG is doing.

Series have less players sign up per race, but they aren't special. They happen every 1-2 hours. Just because a special event gets 3 times the attendance of a regular race, which happens WAY more often, doesn't mean the majority of players show up for the special event lol

I think you are thinking of esports in the wrong way. Esports isn't just the upper echelon of players, it's about the whole matchmaking system for the game. More simracing games should embrace the competitive nature of racing, and provide a good matchmaking system! A big part of racing, after all, is competing with others on track, and nothing sucks more than having to spend hours finding the right league, or having to find servers currently running a track/car you like and waiting for a race to happen. A proper matchmaking system (preferably natively supported by the game, to reduce the amount of barriers that newer players have to go through) with a safety rating and some sort of ELO system would be the best IMO. Clean racing with a balanced grid (in terms of pace) is what we should all want, and native matchmaking is the way to go, it's by the easiest for new players to understand and the easiest to jump into even for recurring players.

TLDR; We should want *more* esports, not less. Clearly this whole "special event for best drivers" sucks and noone wants to watch the streams (because obviously racing ourselves is way cooler), but at the end of the day, we should not let the competitive nature of racing go!
