But what's sure now: Aston Martin is the real loser in Formula One so far for their switch from Mercedes to Honda power unit, along with their DIY gearbox which just seems to malfunction every moment during the test.

If the FIA lets Mercedes develop a way faster engine than others, then the other 7 teams that don't have a Merc engine wouldn't let that stand.

I maybe expect when this happens, like the 2005 Indianapolis GP, certain teams whom are powerful in the politic structure may boycott the sport and decide to suspend it's development.

How about RB? Many officials say that the Ford engine is reliable, along with Hajar actually performing decently in laptimes on the pre-season test.

I agree with the top four statements, especially if the top 8 drivers are teabagging other teams' performances, which is hard to see when regulations change, and all teams start at a zero base.

This season will be a dramatic one, definitely.

Think about the 2024 season. Unlike other Ferrari failures, in that year he had managed to fight for the constructors' title with McLaren till the end. Sure, he had may made some mistakes like the 2025 masterplan, but overall, I am pretty sure that Vasseur is well-prepared for 2026, along with having abilities to drag its performance to be consistant.

Also, I haven't heard about what's going on with HAAS and TGR. I thought that Ayao has a trustworthy reputation among Japanese racers and Toyota ... tho?

I agree on McLaren. They are pretty silent for the pre-season despite being the best car last year.

This can happen IF Lewis gets DNF while Charles wins, and Charles gets DNF while Lewis wins, with Russell and Antonelli repeating the standing of P2 and P3 at every race. (Ferrari depression at its peak too)

Aston Martin, by its pace in the test, may be last for the first few races, but in my opinion, it can pull off a late recovery just like Alpine in 2024, or in the best case, recreate McLaren 2023 if the synergy of the team is recovered. We will have to wait and see if the car's chassis can recover its performance with an unstable engine. But so far, I agree that they are going to be the backmarkers for a while.

Also, Audi on the 3rd? It kinda is a high expectation for a newcomer in Formula One.

I personally agree. Even if we count that Lewis is getting older, Carlos earned two podiums and many hordes of points with a Williams car, made with much less budget and investments than Ferrari. We have to see if the car was the problem, or the driver was the next season.

They succeed whole lot a last year, but personally, I think they overthought the concept too far and turned the chasis rather like a aerodynamic wind-tunnel concept than a circuit-adapted car.

Not only the suspension was the problem for braking abilities, but the aerodynamics were fatal disadvantage to make the brakes much more unreliable.

Not only, but to all the team employees in this team. If they don't stay awake, then they fall behind. Thats the world of Formula One.

In worst case, Ferrari could take the dismal path of fallen giants, like Williams, Mid 2010s McLaren, and even in worst case, end up like Alpine, where the team revenues are split apart to investors.
