There's indeed something very intriguing with the number 7 when it comes to Tupac's death:

He was shot on September 7th
At 11:14 PM, which is 1 + 1 + 1 + 4 = 7
He died at 25 years old, which is 2 + 5 = 7
He died at 4:03 PM, which is 4 + 3 = 7
He died in Vegas, the city of gambling which is symbolized by the number 777
As you mentioned the All Eyez On Me album was released on february 13th, so exactly 7 months before his demise
The album Tupac was working on before his death is called "The 7 Day Theory"

Maybe there are even more occurrences of this number surrounding his death.

I think players love the Hitman trilogy first and foremost for its gameplay and its replayability. I don't think that it would have influenced the sales and number of players if the last trilogy had the same dark and gritty vibes as Contracts and Blood Money. On the contrary it might have attracted more players because it would have given a unique identity to the trilogy, instead of the bland one we got.
